She made straight for his tent.

"I think you will need to move Foxburg!"

He looked up from maps and scout reports.

"I am so pleased for you." She grinned bobbing in a deep curtsey. "Lord Woolton."

"Oh no, no no no... Leave this pompous aristocratic nonsense for a later day, we have a war to win."

Jacelyn rose from his seat and carefully packed away all documents from the table, before reaching behind him and pulling out an almost full wineskin.

"Some wine, perhaps?" He seemed relaxed and welcoming, but also calm and without any emotion expected of a newly appointed lord.

"In fact, I was just getting ready for a small, humble dinner. Would you mind joining me? We can talk more over some food, although don't expect anything fancy."

She immediately sat at the table.

"How could I refuse the region Lord." The look from him was swift and meaningful. "I'm sorry I'm sorry!" She laughed. "You can forgive me wanting to celebrate my beat friend being recognised by the Grandest of Courts."

She tucked away the bottle of Vorn Red She had thought to offer in celebration, it would not be well received as of yet. He poured a passable wine, the sort she was one than used to drinking and she tilted her cup.

"I am proud of you Jace... it may mean little, but it is true nonetheless."

She had supped with Jace then found her way back to his tent. The scout reports were of a larger force, but Perdan held the field... which counted for much.

He was so untroubled in sleep, she allowed her fingers to dandle lightly in the hair on his chest. In sleep, his face held an innocent purity of calm that so rarely survived to wakefulness. He was a light that burned so bright she knew some day, someone would take him from her... perhaps that day would be today.

Her hand drifted to her abdomen as she hoped that Aurelian would not be his only legacy... 'Aurelian', even the thought of his name was an ache to her, she had spent her nights in tears before Lucius had arrived, since then she had ensured herself an exhausted sleep where at least her dreams could be happy. As she applied the strapping around her chest, she placed the extra wadding. Over a month away from him and the merest thought, and her body reminded her of the purpose she had for her son.

Pulling her shirt back on she regretfully shook him from sleep.

"Lucius, I hate to wake you... I have prepared letters, and a list.... I would know your thoughts."
