The Ghia Family already lives for generation long. And most of the family members have lived in Irneas and were one of the first influential peoples. And they still are till the day of nowadays an influential Family in Irneas with Roberd Ghia as it's Count at the moment.

Family History
A long, very long time ago, when realm were only a myth, there was a man called Ares. Ares of Irneas. He lived in peace together with the other villagers of Irneas. It wasn't a huge population. There was a small village in Irneas, where like 300 men lived together, shared every what they had to survive. Ares was one of the tribal chiefs. If there was something important to discuss, the people came to him. And besides that, he was a strong leader and a great hunter. Ares was an adventure, who discovered the world around him. But there were some dark times coming for Irneas and it's villagers. A realm was formed, a corporation of several region under command of a government who ruled this realm. It was called Arcaea. And with their army, they marched to Irneas. Ares had never seen such a power and the villagers surrendered immediately. Arcaea came with a lot changes as, gold coins and taxes. Now the had to pay for their products in state of sharing them, and they had to hand out gold to the Arcaean government. The use of gold became a success, but the people of Irneas were exploited by the Arcaean government. And the deported many new peasants to Irneas from city regions as Remton and Niel. Ares had never heard before of these cities, so he joined a monastery and learned more about it and improved his reading and writings skills. Ares became a real gentleman during the time in the monastery. But Arcaea came with more. They wanted to know every peasant who lived on their land an to improve their administration everyone had to chose a second name, a family name. Ares had a passion for ice, and he loved the winter. And once he saw a glacier and he couldn't look at something different. It was a sign of the power of the Gods, that's what he always thought. The priests learned him about it, they called it a ghiacciaio. It was the Italian word for glacier and from that moment Ares knew what would be his second name. Ghiacciaio, but the authority made Ghia of it. And after that day wasn't Ares any longer 'Ares', but "Ares Ghia".
The Legend of the Ghia Family
A Long, very long time ago there was a man called Ares, from Irneas. Ares was a man of honour. Everything what he promised, did he. Ares lived in the old time of Sartania where war was only a legend. Ares thought that he could do everything what he wanted to do, because there was no war and nothing that would stand in his way. He wanted to do things that prohibited by the old king of Sartania. That was having sex before you had married with someone and you could not marry with someone of an another belief. Two things that Ares wanted to do before he would die. So he travelled to the city Remton and went to a bar. There was only sitting an ugly woman, so he take a beer and went outside. Ares walked along the streets of Remton and were surprised. There was a splendid woman at the well. He went to her for a talk and that finished in a delicious night.
The next morning asked Ares the woman, Minerva at marriage. Minerva did not know if she was ready for it, but Ares doesn't gave up. After a couple weeks together in Remton are Minerva and Ares really in love on each other. Ares think that Minerva is ready for it and ask her at marriage. This time was the answer of Minerva ' YES '.
But Ares could not marry in Remton, because that belonged not to Sartania. And if he wouldn't marry in Sartania then Ares could not ignore the rules of the king. So he and Minerva travelled to Niel to find a priest who wanted to engaged them. Ares were not choosy with choosing a priest. He want that everyone knew that he would marry with someone from Arcaea. Ares hoped that he would be betrayed to the king.
Ares found a priest who will help them. They travelled to Irneas to keep there the wedding. Then the king got this to hear and he was furiously. He could not understand how someone dared not stick it to his rules. And if he does nothing, that will make do this him at ridiculous, because approximately knew the complete realm of this wedding.
On the wedding the king appeared. There happened nothing. The king will sit quietly and the wedding started. The priest told what were told on each wedding consequence by a kiss. Ares and Minerva kissed each other and gave each other a ring. Minerva belonged now to Sartania and Ares had made the rules of the king ridiculous.
Ares, Minerva and the priest were arrested. They sat in the prison for three days. Afterwards the judge had spoken concerning their sentence. The priest got 10 years prison sentence, Minerva was extradited to Arcaea and Ares got the death penalty.
Many citizens of Niel and Irneas found that Ares had much courage to contradict the king with his actions. Thousands of citizens stood for the castle of the king and shouted that Ares, Minerva and the priest had be released. The king ignored his people and arose there a civil war. The king wasn't prepared for this. It only thin he had was a small army with bad arms. He never had a war before and he also doesn't knew what he had to do. Only what he knew is that he would lose it against those thousands of citizens, so he released Ares, Minerva and the priest.
After a year died the current king. His oldest son became king of Satania. He came with plans for a better administration for his people. Because there were frequently people with the same name. That made it difficulty for much things to check. For instance the tax. So everyone in Sartania need a surname. Ares and Minerva surname were Ghia. This stood for genius, heroism, ingenuity and authority. The Ghia family earned a lot of fame, because there were so much people who found that ares and Minerva were heroes. They were confessed in Sartania, only the Royal family hate them.
