I disagree! The new feature would be more realistic in a feudal system, which we *all* agreed we're moving to anyway, reduce real-time dependencies, and give newer players more things to do.

In fact, the new feature could be extended or generalised in many ways: Instead of depending of character stats, realms could set up their own framework to determine how the feature works for them. Also, the feature could be based on a more accurate simulation of the game world, perhaps down to the level of individual troops. It should also have something to do with family home.

If you find the feature really hurts you, perhaps the root problem is that your character does something that's outside the spirit of the game in the first place. You're not paying enough attention to your government type and RP context. Your sense of goals to derive from the game is all wrong!
