Fontanese Digest, the only newspaper from the beacon of Democracy and Freedom of East Continent.

History

The Fontanese Digest was founded by Lord Mikhail, Servant of Fontan, on September 14th, 2005, as a way to assert his political influences after his was defeated by zedd in an election which both of the two stood up as Chancellor candidates. By trying to bring up a newspaper in which he could describe various affairs of Fontan with the Fontanese perspective of things to its people did Lord Mikhail hope that it would help him establishing his good reputation as an excellent commentator, and a politician as well. The neutrality of the Digest did bring much praise to the newspaper after its first few publishings, but low sales made Lord Mikhail nearly on the brink of giving up. Desperately in need of more helps, Mikhail began seeking around for voluntary editors, and that was when Lady Lilith, only a normal noble of Fontan back in that time, decided to step into the circle of journalism.

Originally as a proofreader, Lady Lilith soon showed her talents in news writing and started being in charge of minor articles editting. After Lord Mikhail failed for the third time trying to snatch the seat from zedd and have realized the fact that there is no longer the chance, he abandoned his mundane affairs behind and went into hermitage, leaving the Digest to the hands of Lady Lilith. Entrusted with such responsibility, Lady Lilith worked even harder to keep the newspaper running. Her efforts have paid off. The Fontanese Digest became an continent-wide publication, covering all major events of the East Continent with its neutral stance, its success sprouting a newspaper fever over the whole continent, countless new publications trying to challenge the authority of the Digest but none has succeeded so far.

With Lady Lilith took up the role as a Council Member of Fontan in December 2005, she became the Publisher of the Fontanese Digest and ceased to participate in the copyeditting, in order to maintain the neutral stance of the Digest. Now the most read newspaper on the East Continent, the Fontanese Digest will continue its pursuit for true stories and recordings.
