Paint. Oops is that a bad thing?

Save your images as JPEG/JPG or GIF in Paint. -Pizarro

Uh, Pizarro, I thought we had already established that JPG in paint = bad. Get a decent image manipulation program (e.g. the GIMP) and save it there. GIF should work ok even for paint, but gif generally isn't very good. You may be interested in a program (for Windows) called Paint.NET. It’s basically a poor man’s Photoshop (it’s free). But, it also seems to have all the features that I have been using in Photoshop for years (more colors, brushes, layers, options, etc) and I’ve been really pleased with the functionality. Download it for yourself and try it out. You can grab it (for free) at http://www.getpaint.net. I just need to know about the file extensions. whats the best way to get a JPEG image?

Its not that hard with paint you open the Image, then you click "Save As" then for the file type choose JPEG. What it looks like is that the file type here is saved as a bmp while the image extension was changed to jpg--Aralaiquendi 03:48, 24 December 2006 (CET)
