The Rebel

Widfara has been cast out of the family and his homeland after his attempts to overthrow Ibladesh, and has vowed to show his true loyalty to Itorunt. Alex has condemned him, and he is apparently heading north. His last act of defiance was to loot Az Zarqua in compliance with his last orders, but this act was not seen as an act of repentance, rather one of arrogance. He then went to Ubent. He was rapidly asked to leave. He then went to Perdan, but his publishing history had gained him many enemies, and Perdan banned him. He was then responsible for being in the most lopsided battle (up to that point) ever fought, at least to that day, attacking the Fontanese TO forces and Sirionite forces in Westmoor, Oligarch. He was then moments later assassinated by a infiltrator, but a possible suspect was caught later that day. He has now joined Oligarch.

After the fall of Oligarch, when he fought in the battle, he left to head to Light of Fountain. He has made a friend in Lady Malice Marouz's Curse who was similarly travelling to Light of Fountain, who he now often engages in friendly duels with. He has a tendency to look back in regret at his past.

He was an elder member of the Order of the Doughnuts, a Holder of the Book of Recipes, and writer of the guild chronicles (along with his former co-editor from his day's helping write the II, Aurum). It is one of his last remaining ties with his homeland.

He emigrated to Toren on the SEI, purpose unknown. It is thought he will return someday, but few know when, where or why he intends too, although possibly he misses the doughnuts?

In Toren, Widfara met the deity for the first time while out on a scouting mission. Soon after, he began to be acknowledged as the prophet of Tor, and was witness and motivator in many things there, as a part of the war council, defender of Toren against the rebellion of Sera Osha, voice of reason to Zel, and crusher of the Sandalakatakians

Widfara also found one of his most avid followers, merely a girl named Ancelin, and although he (ab)used her trust in him through his scheming, he could not deny that he became ever more fond of her.

Widfara will not be returning any more... in an ill-fated duel to the death he suffered a lethal blow at the hands of Glorawarthien Urominiel.

Or will he? Word emerged that Widfara had been seen in Fontan.

Widfara's time in Fontan was marked by persistent persecution by the ruler, Gregor Relak, calling for his death and torture on multiple occasions. After several months in the realm, faked evidence was discovered implicating him in a rebellion - merely weeks after he had tied first place for the position of Minister of Defence in the realm. His accusation caused some protest, but not enough, and Widfara ran once banished throughout the lands of the EC causing havoc and chaos with what was left of his cavalry unit, until he reached the realm of Avamar Selective. he volunteered for a ill fated looting trip through the realm of Old Rancagua but was captured. When released in accordance with a prisoner deal, he arrived too late to take part in the defence of the capital city, Kalmar. however, he was elected to the position of Paladin Primus without even trying, and now he has a responsibility to pull something ex nihilo, in other words, out of his posterior. With the sudden acquisition of an entire duchy even as the capital was being stormed, Widfara looks for an opening...

And gave up under stress and left for the continent of Beluaterra. He joined the Kingdom of Alluran and showed utter contempt for their traditions and even tried to forge his way into landed nobility. he was banned but the bane was lifted to allow him to move on - he joined the Republic of Fwuvoghor and awaited the next turn of fate.

Bans: Itorunt, Perdan, Ubent(?)(ask to leave), Oligarch (?)(abandon realm for Light of Fountain), Fontan, Kingdom of Alluran.

Meta: Character notes

Widfara is, in a word, evil. Not your average villainous, pick kill rape and burn instead of steal tax gold evil character, or insult the barkeep evil - he generally isn't a nice guy. He has a somewhat grim sense of humour, and can act with less seriousness than is called for - often he will crack jokes - but every move he makes is calculated. Even his deity, Tor, he does not credit so much as he should, more obsessed with materialistic things, though he does listen to Tor's word and act on them, he is more likely to use his "position" for his own gain, as shown clearly in his dealings with Ancelin.

Even though he is evil, Widfara does have a caring side, even if he does try to repress it. His feelings (which he will deny having) for Ancelin, for example, and a genuine feeling of camaraderie with Sera Osha for another.

His skills with tact are able to match most politicians, though in a battle of words he is more likely to let his temperament slip out - acts of organised killings whenever he is alone in a region doing buro work is an example of this, as well as usually always having his men on murderous when fighting monsters.
