Enlod was once the capital of Arcachon and the spiritual home of the Adgharhin Way religion, before Arachon was destroyed. Now Enlod is the capitol of Coralynth. The Adghardhin Way no longer has a presence in the city, as only the worship of Sartan is allowed in Coralynth.

Demographics

Most of Enlod's population are farmers in the outlaying countryside or unskilled laborers. About 170 noblemen and their families reside in estates within the city.

Economy

One census master remarked of the city,

"There are 7 blacksmiths, 8 taverns, 5 inns, 8 butchers, 29 barbers and 40 tailors. There are 18 wine and ale sellers, 7 spice merchants, 17 weavers and 20 pastrycooks. There are 67 shoemakers, 40 furriers, 20 masons, 18 carpenters, 14 coopers, 14 chandlers and 13 bakers. There are copyists, cutlers, painters, woodcarvers. But mostly, the population are farmers and laborers."

Defenses

It is a walled, heavily fortified city. The city walls are about 8,300 feet in total length, range from 12-24 feet in height and are from 8-15 feet thick. The rubble construction uses an ashlar facing and lime mortar. There are nine bastions, each a cylindrical stone tower about 137 feet in diameter and 90 feet tall. There are five gates, each with a gatehouse and portcullis. The gatehouses are each about 160 feet wide, 50 feet tall, consisting of two 60-foot diameter, 76 feet tall stone wall towers on each side of the gate.

The keep, located on the highest real estate in the city (Enlod Hill, rising 55 feet above the rest of the city), is a 415 by 484 feet rectangular fortress with four wall towers. The walls here are 14 feet thick and 22 feet tall. Militia units in the city are based in the bastions, with regular patrols sent out along the walls. There are generally up to 250 militia garrisoned in Enlod in peacetime, but the fortress can easily hold more troops. If the outer walls are broken through, there are thought enough wells and storage areas in the keep to outlast a siege.

Faith

The woods to the west of the city are part of the eastern edge of the Forest of Arcachon, which covers most of the Dark Isle. Up the temple road, in the outskirts of the forest is where the ruins of the Wellspring Temple can still be found, the oldest temple of the Adgharhin. According to the Adgharhin, the city of Enlod was built by Adaghar himself and is the oldest city in the world.
