Blasa had been hiding from the Undead that she had spotted filing out of the mine shafts of Vore. In the moonlight she hid, breathless, as the last of the undead fiends marched towards the town. She began to creep out from behind the log that had hidden her, when a long bony hand grabbed her long brown hair and began to drag her towards the mine shaft. Her fingers clawing into the dirt, her boots dragging she desperately tried to get out of the hissing creatures grip. Grabbing a big sharp rock, she took a big breath and smashed the hand that held her. Success! The hand severed from the arm and she ran with the bloody thing tangled in her hair. Screaming like a banshee, she finally untangled it and threw it at the angry form coming for her. Lo and behold! The figure fell to the ground in a pile of dust. She ran to look in disbelief at her luck, and there in the ashes was a sparkling gem. It was black as night and resembled the starry night sky, sparkling with beautiful stars.
She pocketed the gem and ran away from the town that would soon be terrorized by the undead army. She could not believe her luck, again another treasure to sell to the nobles. That thought almost rivaled the fear she had just felt in the hand of the undead. Shivering, she set off to find the Lord of Vore, pray he be a decent sort.
