After many hours of tracking, in a routine that had become, well, routine, Cael finally found the fourth group of the horde.
The air of the night brought the scent of their den to him as he approached silently downwind of them. He carefully pushed aside leaves of the concealing shrub, and studied the beasts with a cold, practiced eye. Their reddish, coarse fur, stooped walking on hind legs and wolven muzzles told him all he needed to know. Lycanthropes he silently mouthed.
Ferocious when cornered, it would not be an easy fight... He moved off a short distance and made his preparations. The traps he lay, the bow he strung, the daggers prepared and the sword always ready.
"It would be a good fight", he smiled grimly to himself, a spark of his dormant insanity coming through.
