History
The Darkhand family is new to the realm of politics and nobility. The first generation is just now entering the world in search of bettering the family standing and wealth.
Zangyf and Morgana were simple farmers working for the local knight whose lives were forever changed one late evening. While picking through the small garden they maintained for themselves by the nearby riverbed they stumbled upon the crumpled body of a man half covered by silt. Upon further investigation The found the man to be clad in armor and breathing very shallowly.
Not being the first time a man of war had floated down river, they brought him into the small stables they had setup as an infirmary upon the property, where they nursed the man back to health. Upon the third day the man regained enough strength to speak, telling them of his high birth and the debt he owed them.
Saying that they acted with the honor of folk well above their station, he granted them ownership of lands in his fiefdom. A few years later, he had passed in some small conflict or another, but the importance of this is that he named Zangyf his heir, passing onto the couple and their young children titles and rank.
Philosophy
Upon receiving their titles, the couple placed there young children under the tutelage of the steward, an ancient man named Plota. Still forming themselves in the robust world of nobility they have only their motto, which was given to them by the knight whom had passed: Honor and Faith in All Things.
