Daemonic Helm of the Vulcano

Forged in the lava pools of Mount Sinclair of Atamara, this ornate steel helmet holds a faint red cast to the metal that no amount of polishing can remove - indeed, the metal seems barely touched by rain or blood, liquid flowing off it's curled horns and sharp angles without pause. The face of the helmet is worked in a terrible, snarling rictus of a demon's head, fangs bared in a war cry and in the eye sockets two perfectly faceted red rubies.

In dark tales it is whispered that the owner of the helmet becomes a demon in battle, in truth more then prowess. Other tales speak of the rubies turning to burning flames, licking at the top of the helmet. In all tales, it is spoken that when rain sweeps across the battlefield, the wearer is surrounded by a fog as the rain steams away from this helmet, as if it had touched just-forged metal.

This Daemonic Helm was found by the adventurer Ariania, her second find of such an ancient artifact, held by another ancient undead champion of Trassing. When worn, the wearer sees out through the rictus grin of the demon, the steel teeth asking as a cage of face bars, while on their brow the demon's eyes are placed.

Having found two ancient artifacts here, Ariania is starting to believe that Trassing was the site of a great battle long ago, to have such active undead with such powerful items in their possession.

This Daemonic Helm was acquired by Ferdinand Gibson, Knight of Skalk and the Cagilan Empire, and later lost during repairs.
