Also around 04/04/08, when the Cagilan and Talerium troops were in Nazia.

Tan arrives

A troop of war camels approaches the manor of the baroness - as they are clearly recognizable by their beasts, coat of arms and their colourfull vestments as hailing from Talerium, they have bound green twigs to their lances to indicate their peaceful intentions.

After their leader had dismounted he lowers the grey scarf covering his face and bows to the Lady who had been informed of the approach of these riders.

'Lady Bluelake, it is an honour to follow your invitation. Your beauty is being sung about in the sands on the far side of these mountains - and for once I am astounded to note that the minstrels have not lied as they are wont to do.

As our realms are pitted against each other by the currenty of politics, you gain much honour by your graceful invitation - it is a pleasure to accept. I was so free as to instruct my steward to bring what wine we had availiable from my duchy for the festivities.'

With these words he signals for his men to hand a number of carefully wrapped kegs to the servants...as they dismount and get ready to erect a camp near the manor, the duke once again respetfully bows to the countess and follows her towards the revelries.

Letter from Ilya Bluelake

My lords and knights,

I cannot control my people anymore. They shall die with honour, to say the least, protecting their homeland, though I would rather them not to die at all. I am utterly sorry to see that such a brutal approach was necessary. Again I pledge, for those that just arrived - spare the innocent.

Duke D'Serrai, I see that you are leaving to Galadia already, and hope that your journey be safe. I send with this letter one of my personal scouts, to see that your men keep on the safe path through the mountains, specially dangerous now that the roads are damaged.

I wish you glory in your battles, though I cannot wish you victory in this specific one. May your sword be sharp and protect your well being. In Nazia or anywhere else, you shall always be welcome to my home. Thank you for your company for this short time, and I'll make sure my people remember your name.

As for the others, I thank those that are avoiding violence, I thank those that fight with honour, and you are still invited to the Baronial Seat to enjoy a meal, for as long as I can keep the soldiers outside.

Regards,

Ilya Bluelake Baroness of Nazia
