Even more blood was shed in Barad Riel after fresh troops from Talerium and Darka aide an Eston attack on Barad Riel. In their haste to attack, the opposing forces failed to achieve a numerical advantage and were forced to assault the fortifications with inferior numbers. The western forces were also lacking in leadership with only two marshals present. As a result, half of the western forces were unorganized. Although the Norland forces guarding the city had been bloodied in previous battles, their advantages in leadership, numbers, and fortifications allowed the defenders to come out ahead once again, smashing the attacking armies and then hunting own stragglers throughout the next day.

Despite these great victories, The barony has started a brutal to of Ashmoor and Eston a hostile TO of Belegrond, showing that the NF civil war will be a long one. Despite the odds, Norland's hordes stand ready to defend our borders, show our wayward brothers the error of their ways, and reunite the Northern Federation Forces.

Battle in Barad Riel Darka, Eston, Talerium vs Norland strengths: 1071 men vs. 1140 men

Norland won many battles in Barad Riel, scoring heavy casualties on the L'Estonland and Darka armies as they suicided themselves against the walls, keen to join in and seem like a "key player" or "important and totally not filler" Talerium also attacked Barad Riel, not in conjunction with the other realms of course, but on their own accord. Naturally we Viking's ripped their camel's to shreds as they crowded at the base of our walls.

But with these victories their came many losses, we lost Ashmoor to the Barony, Shiverwood was soon looted til it went rogue by the Barony. Belegrond was taken by Eston, Winwich, Cheltenbourne where taken by Minas Ithil and Mansbridge turned rogue by Minas Ithil. Norland however made a brief comeback, fighting in Ashmoor and quickly retaking the region and fighting in Hernepoole.

In the battle to reclaim Hernepoole "Grand Executioner" Lord Gunner was slain in battle, despite the work of many Vikings to save him, though we managed to reclaim the body from the battlefield through fierce combat. Also Lady Arthea, recently an infiltrator for Norland but former warrior priest of Ikalak was executed by the Darkan scum. Norland is greatly bereaved by the death of so many important nobles and lords in our wars but we take solace in the fact we have new nobles, such as Palthos the Second and Omlink the Second, both of the relatives to the old Norland warriors and lords Palthos and Omlink.

As the valiant Viking's continue their crusade for survival, the amassed North continues purging Norland regardless of our efforts. Now we have lost Elost, Ashmoor (once more)Moramoth and only through the continual efforts of the Norlander's where we able to keep Hernepoole. We managed to route a much larger Minas Ithilian force in Hernepoole and prevent the loss of the region, however our few victories have done little to impede the juggernaut of our foes. Norland is now down to just three regions, Barad Riel, Hernepoole and Brackhead. As you would expect in such a predicament starvation is writhe and our Stronghold of Barad Riel has been severed from any form of regional connection with Norland, the last link to it lost to Eston.
