ASH'RILY FALLS

In the third assault upon the doomed city, Abington and her allies broke the walls and marched triumphantly into the city beneath the flutter of the banners of dozens, if not hundreds of noble houses. Although a Minas Ithil and Islander force nearby hopes to recapture the city or otherwise deter it's fate, it seems likely that the combined might of Abington, Redspan and Carelia will hold the city despite the destruction of it's outer walls.

Uncomfirmed reports also state that an Ash Sea Islands infiltrator unsuccessfully attempted, yet again, to assassinate Drago, Marshal of the Army of Wor'ight, but whether this action was authorized by the Islander leaders remains to be seen.

ASH'RILY SEES THE LIGHT

Despite protestations of a long, stubborn resistance to Abington's justice, the City of Ash'rily saw the light and officially joined with the Kingdom of Abington today, after the stunning multinational victory just a few days ago. Although the difficulties of control are not insubstantial, the Abington precedent set by the incorporation of mighty Suville indicates that this former Ash Sea Islands capital will remain under the authority of Abington.

In other news, a Carelian assassin was found creeping around the tent of the King of Abington; guards report that given the circumstances, they were more concerned with the infiltrator's health than that of Gabriel, who is said understatedly to be able to "take care of himself."

King Gabriel to step down, Treaty to be drafted

With the war now over, and the Ashlanteans beaten, King Gabriel has confirmed his promise to step down from his throne, and to allow other worthy nobles to become monarch of the realm- as chosen by the people, of course.

However, King Gabriel will remain in office untill a Treaty of Ash'rily can be drafted and signed, laying out the terms of the peace between the two nations.

What the terms will be is currently unclear, but it is fairly certain that the Eastern Alliance will be the enforcers of the treaty, promising swift retribution against either nation if the treaty is broken.

The treatment of Prisoners and Nobles is likely to be an issue, and the controversial execution of Vigilantus may be brought up. However, it is fairly certain that, for the time being, uneasy peace is assured.
