Abington Account/December2006
Arch Priest Passes "Authorization Edict"
"Every week, it seems, there's yet another instance of an infiltrator or trader doing some criminal action in a neutral - or even allied! - realm. Every week, I get the complaint from a fellow judge, demanding to know who is responsible. Every week, I have to come up with an answer that tries to spare both Abington's honour and the noble in question. But why should I?"
With these words, Abington's judge passed a new edict after an infiltrator was caught operating in neutral Cagilan Empire, and after a trader was caught on the black market in allied Redspan.
In another letter he said the goal was to help counter the threat posed by nobles "wandering willy-nilly, doing as they please."
Here is the actual text of the new edict, violation of which is to be punished with immediate banishment:
"Infiltrators: From now on, you will take NO action that is OUTSIDE of Abington's borders, without the authorization and approval of the High Marshal via the Military Council.
"Traders: From now on, you will take NO action that is outside of Abington's borders, without the authorization and approval of the Royal Treasurer.
