Hraeten's Branch

====Amgar==== The eldest child of Hraeten, Amgar serves in Norland. Born of Imnestra, Hraeten's legitamate noble wife, Amgar has true calim to nobility. He is yet a minor nobleman, but he strives to serve the Vikings as best he can. The war-like tendencies of his family run true in him. He is a viking to the core. Slaying Estonites is his joy in life. For as long as anyone can remember, Amgar has insisted upon being in the frontlines, where he can gain the greatest glory for himself, Qyrvagg, his family, and his realm.

  • Accomplishments:
    • Norland:
      • Knight, member of Odin's Spear

====Amekal==== The youngest of the Vellos family, Amekal was also born to Imnestra. At a mere age fifteen he met the love of his life, a trader's daughter named Eseda. He followed her back to Icegate, where he fell madly in love with her, and she with him. For two months in Icegate, they grew to love each other more and more. But that winter, she was kidnapped. Driven mad with rage, Amekal took up arms and hired several men, and followed the kidnappers. He caught up to them in Howling Waste. All fifteen of the kidnappers were butchered, slaughtered. Unfortunately, in the fray, one of the vagabonds slit Eseda's throat. When the battle was over, Amekal found the white and blue crest of Eston on the kidnappers. He swore then to destroy Eston at any cost. Utterly demolish its people, crush its will to fight, reduce it to rubble. To achieve this, he joined the Barony of Makar. After several months of fighting in that wonderful realm of Vikings, Amekal was called by Qyrvagg to Valentia, in Beluaterra. There he planned to meet Baiko, the Master of the Holy Hosts of Qyrvagg. He broke off in mid campaign, and emigrated to Beluaterra with all possible speed.

On his way to emigrating to Beluaterra, he summoned his family from Moramroth, a war torn and ruined region, with all speed. He set up a new manor in Icegate, capitol of the Barony of Makar. It is rumoured that Amgar became angry at him because of this.

About the same time, Amekal pledged to live his life in the frontlines, glorifying Qyrvagg with mighty blows struck by his hand, with his troops, the life of a hero. When Amekal arrived in Beluaterra, he joined the fledgling realm of Valentia. In this land he hopes to set the permanent home of the Church of Qyrvagg. He now awaits the arrival of Baiko, the Master of the Holy Hosts.

While in Valentia, Amekal recieved word that the Church of Qyrvagg had spread beyond his wildest dreams. There were believers in Sartania he had not known about, and in Oligarch, Lasanar, and Sirion too.

Then, after several weeks in Valentia, and after being betrayed and framed, Amekal was forced to flee to Riombara. But, in fact, the flight had been planned weeks earlier, for Amekal had recieved a vision which told him that he should go to Riombara.

After a brief stay in an Avalonian jail, Amekal was released, and hastened to Riombara, where he was greeted cordially, and met a friend. The friend was named Marc, and was a reltive of Paul, one of Hireshmont's close friends in Oligarch.

Illegitamate Branch

=====Hanajan===== One of the Exiled Twins, Hanajan was born illegitamately to Hraeten, the Patriarch of the Vellos Family. His mother was Lasyra, a peasent from Moramroth, one of the villagers. Hanajan was the first of the twins to come. At age three, he was shipped to the East Continent, Caligus. He grew there in the keeping of local lesser nobles. Soon after he joined the ranks of the Caligus Army, he recruited too many men in the zealousness of youth. In his arrogance, he battled in Winkamus, and could not maintain his over-sized unit. He was reduced to laboring in the fields and shops of Winkamus and Domus. Hanajan was driven mad by this. Even if he was illegitamate, and exiled, he could not drive himself to a peasent's status. Soon after, he fled into the forests north of Winkamus, never to be seen again.

  • Accomplishments
    • Caligus
      • Former Knight (MIA)

=====Hireshmont===== The second of the Exiled Twins, Hireshmont was born of the same mother as his twin brother, Hanajan. He was exiled at the same time as his brother, but sent to a vastly different place. After a harrowing sea voyage, he was cast ashore in the Utter East. The farthest eastern realm of the Far East, Sartania.

He was adopted by the priests there, but his noble birth was discovered. At age fourteen, he took up a job in the Holy Court. He proved himself dedicated to Sartania, a loyal leader. He was fanatically devoted to his faith, his utter belief in Sartan, the God of War. Mere months after entering the active service as a commander in the Army of Sartania, Hireshmont began to be discontent with the leadership. He found them too stagnant. They did not hold Sartan's ideals in high esteem. He found friends of similar belief, and began to gain a following. Just before Sartanian Forces invaded Athios, Hireshmont announced that he was the Prophet of Qyrvagg, the New God of War and Battle.

Qyrvagg was Sartan's younger brother, and had overthrown him. He and Baiko, the Master of the Holy Hosts, began a great Schism and Defection. He announced that the Church, Holy Host, and Temple would, in time, be moved to Valantia in Beluaterra. The Trial of Qyrvagg began as Hireshmont fled Obtal and Sartania. He displayed a detailed and eloquent knowledge of the Pantheon of Ibladesh, the essence of Sartan, and the events of the Heavens. Sparticus the Just mediated, well, justly. Hireshmont was to be executed on December the 5th, for heresy and blesphemy.

He was to be tortured thoroughly, and killed and become the greatest traitor in the history of Sartania, the greatest heretic in that same nation, the first Prophet of Qyrvagg, and the Martyr of the Church of Qyrvagg. But the Sartanian officials bungled the affair miserably.

Hireshmont, wearing bright colors, going without protection, shouting his identity, and informing his foes of his movement, walked, in freedom, to Tuhpos, where he hoped to be captured more easily. Failing this, he decided that, if he did was not captured by mid-day of the 6th, it was a sign from Qyrvagg to flee with his life.

True to his word, Hireshmont boarded ship for Oligarch, laughing to himself about the horrid innefecutuality of Sartanian police forces. When he arrived in Oligarch, he quickly announced his Faith and Beliefs, hoping to find understanding there, and perhaps conversions, in time. But he, thus far, holds absolutely no desire to cause rapid government change there.

After a few weeks in Oligarch, Hireshmont began feeling the need to try and aid it more, strategically. Thus, in a lull between campaigns, he forwarded his battle plan, Operation: Master Host, along with a few other contingency plans. Soon after the New Lands formed in East Continent, Hireshmont formed the WCC, Worst Case Council, for the defense of Oligarch and its allies by predicting all possible scenarios for the future, and planning responses for them. Soon after this, he was also appointed a lieutenant in the Oligarchian army. In fact, it was at this time that Hireshmont's true political life began. he became a member of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Chairman of the WCC, and a Lieutenant in the Oligarchian army, along with the High Priest of East Continent for the Church of Qyrvagg.

Following the Reformation of Oligarch into a Republic, like it had been deep in history, the WCC became a recognised organization within Oligarch. Soon after this, Hireshmont proceedd to draft the First EC Heartland Realms ALliance Council Charter, a document outlining plans for reorganization of the alliance group of Ubent, Perdan, Oligarch, and Caligus. Unfortunately, the plan died.

Just a few days later, when Old Rancagua ended their non-agression pact with Oligarch, Hireshmont announced he would run for Judge, against many experienced and long-time troop leaders.

On January 27th, after Elaira stepped down, Hireshmont, much to his surprise(he had campaigned, but didnt expect to win), found himself elected as the Grand Justiciar! The complete results are here: Hireshmont's First Judge Election.

Throughout the history of the Vellos family, one being has resurfaced quite often. His name is QYrvagg, he is the New God of War, who replaced the Fallen Sartan.
