Born from the ashes of a dying Empire, Taith Aenil (now no longer in existence) rose to face any challenge, knowing that the Angels were with them always. Together, they feared nothing, but pressed on relentlessly toward whatever end they strove for.

Believing that the Celestial Powers themselves granted them this opportunity, they dedicated their religious service to studying these Angelic beings more, and be the centre of spiritual learning for the Far East.

However, the religious foundations of the realm were been shaken once the Aenil took the Arcangela Arella, the founder of the faith, ruler and friend, without known cause. It may have something to do with the cursed Book of Promises, an Aenilian holy book which was mistaken as a holy book for man. After her disappearance, Taith Aenil went on a crusade to find any information on the reasons for the Arcangela being taken from them.

Government

Taith Aenil was best described as a democratic Theocracy. While the main power ultimately rested in the hands of the Pontifex, and to a lesser degree the Haruspex Maximus, Paladin Primus and Fiduciary; there existed an extended council consisting of former council members and region lords. Lesser nobles and freemen were also kept up to date and had a significant voice.

Treachery and Fall

The Arcangela Arella departed this world (OOC: character deleted around April 2006), in despair at the corruption and powermongering that was spreading throughout the Far East.

A conspiracy between Lord Orphen and various nobles of Ethiala saw the destruction of Taith Aenil (in May 2006). Orphen moved the capital from Idapur to Nahad claiming it would aid in battle, then installed his co-conspirator Luyten as Duke of Idapur. Luyten promptly seceded from the realm, taking all regions except Nahad with it, and formed the new realm of Greater Aenilia.

The remaining loyalists to Taith Aenil defended Nahad as best they could, but Lord Helios was killed in battle shortly thereafter, leaving Kali as the only senior noble in the realm. She, and a handful of junior nobles, mounted what defence they could against overwhelming forces from Ethiala and Greater Aenilia, but the result was inevitable. Nahad fell (in late May 2006), and with it the realm of Taith Aenil vanished into the history books.
