Unfortunately, having the eighth highest food production on the continent, Glinmar tends to attract hordes of foul creatures that terrorize the population. In recent times, a strong militia has been maintained to deal with this threat.

It is said among the peasants that dark creatures lurk in the woods bordering Glinmar, far worse than monsters or undead. There are whispers of demon worshiping cults, human sacrifices, and an evil sorceress that lures men into the woods and steals their souls. Few but soldiers and traders travel through the forest, and as a result Glinmar has become somewhat isolated from the rest of the realm.
