Introduction

Chaos Temple is a stronghold on Chaos Island, at the northwest edge of Kalmar Bay. It's existence was formerly unknown until the Great Eruption. After that monks took over the then abandoned temple to practice their own sects' rituals and prayers. Chaos Temple connects via sea routes to both Bastad on the southern island and Kalmar on the northern island, making this Stronghold an important location.

Chaos Temple was led by Duke Oracle until the tyrant El Cid's rebellion when the region was given to Langul temporarily, followed by a permanent election of Janus. During the invasion of the islands by Perdan to remove the Avamar-led government, there were many Dukes appointed, owing to the repeated capture and assassinations of the reigning Dukes. Following the fall of Chaos Isle to Perdan, Johann Hynes was given the temporary title of Duke until it could be turned over to the new realm, known as the Obsidian Islands.
