Aniri decides to become an infil

Aniri read the letter from her sister again. It was the last letter Lucilla, her sister, wrote to her. Lucilla had moved to the realm of Heen many years back, and the two sisters haven’t seen each other since. The letter told of Lucilla’s adventures in Heen and, reading it, Aniri grew more and more envious of her sister. Ever since she was little Aniri had looked up to her older sister, followed her everywhere and did everything Lucilla did. Aniri had always tried to match her sisters fighting skills, always trained hard and hoped that one day she would be as good as Lucilla. When Lucilla decided to leave Carelia, their home, and try her luck in a faraway realm, Aniri stayed behind to manage the family estate and help in keeping their homeland safe from enemies.

”How come Luce is always the one having great adventures and having loads of interesting stories to tell? Why do I never do anything as exciting as the things she writes about? There must be something I can do to change that…”

And then she had the idea…. Yes, maybe that would be the right path for her, maybe that way she will be able to have the adventures she always dreamed of… Maybe a life in the shadows would be exactly what she needed right now… There was only one way to find out…
