Alvaret
Alvaret is a Badlands region on the northern island, at the northern edge of Kalmar Bay. The city of Kalmar lies to the south. It doesn't connect to any other islands or realms. It was lead by Baroness Eireka. It was temporarily given to Thanfedal, then handed over permanently to Legatus DeSyrr.
Alvaret, like the rest of the Kalmar Islands, has a small population. All 200some people live in one small village that serves as the regions capital, Eir Alvar. The region Alvaret was named after the first peasant pioneer to enter the region. Her name was Cassia Alvarette. Eir Alvar, come from Alvarette but also from Lady Eireka, first baron of the region. Eir Alvar is very similar to most rural villages, except for a small archaeological site to the northwest, that may or may not be authentic. It has a small plaza containing a brownstone statue of Cassia Alvarette and a few small flower gardens. On the eastern town limits of Eir Alvar is an obsidian mine, worked on by many Eir Alvar residents.
