In Luyten's words, Orphen is 'a petty kinglet', 'obsessed with his own power', 'virtual dictator and overlord of those Nobles he has sworn to protect', who 'has sunk to the level of the infilitrators' in a 'quest to defend corruption'. A 'foolish leader', 'mental and possessed', who 'has led the realm to ruin'.

Ethialan Press

Against Orphen

Ethialan Leadership under attack!

April 21, 2006- The Taith Aenilians have soiled what was left of their name, in Orphen's apparent authorisation for leading members of the Ethialan government to be attacked by his pet infiltrator Gregonius...

The War begins...

April 23, 2006- ...moving on the region of Taith Aenil, drawing first blood in what will be a campaign to pacify the arrogant Taith Aenilians and their foolish leader Orphen...

Infiltrators!

April 25, 2006- ...The other two, Dawn and Gregonius, both of Taith Aenil, have been banned from Ethiala, never to return lest more lasting punishment be rendered unto them. Amidst this recent speight of attempted assassinations, barring Glorawarthien, it seems that Taith Aenil has sunk to the level of the infiltrators, desperate to do anything to harm Ethiala as we continue to quell their arrogance. How low can one sink in the quest to defend corruption?

Orphen, Dictator of Taith Aenil?

April 27, 2006- Taith Aenil, under fire from two realms, cause? Orphen. Yet, they decide to elect him as Paladin Primus as well? What we have here, is a virtual dicatorship of the small theocracy. Currently, Orphen holds 3 of the 4 council positions. Originally the Haruspex Maximus at the time of Arella's disappearance, he was elected to Pontifex.

At this point, humbly, he relinquished his title and appointed Igna and then Xarnelf as the enforcers of the laws and high priests of the Aenil. However, when both Igna and Xarnelf disappeared for unknown reasons he has decided to take on the additional office for himself, and with the recent wounding of Helios, he allowed his Nobles to elect him as the Paladin Primus. Not so humble anymore, rather obsessed with his own power perhaps?

This action has effectively has made Orphen, Pontifex, Harupsex Maximus and Paladin Primus of Taith Aenil, virtual dictator and overlord of those Nobles he has sworn to protect. Where is Arella in these troubled times? Is she just going to stand back and watch this despot rule her realm into the ground? Surely she would make a stand and ask for a Council position, simply to regulate her "comrade" and divide the command structure.

I wonder if the Nobles of Taith Aenil know what they are getting in to? Only time will tell, but as the armies of Taith Aenil are hammered back into their strongholds of Nahad and Idapur, time will only tell if they will finally wise up and remove the arrogant fool from his theocratic throne, where he lords over them like a petty Kinglet.

Against Arella

Arella! Gone!

May 6, 2006- The Far East breathes easily for the first time in perhaps several years, for Arella has left this world and gone forever. According to Helios, this has been caused by immense grief over the Capital transfer to Nahad by Orphen yesterday. My only regret? That I never got to gloat over the destruction of Taith Aenil, a result of her blatant heresy, hers and that of Helios.

Arella is back

April 12, 2006- Of course, I am rather biased against that heretic witch, I mean former ruler of Taith Aenil, Arella. However, I might as well report that after disappearing so suddenly she is back roaming the Far East once again. I wonder if she wants the rulership back? I know that the current (slightly mental and possessed) Pontifex, Orphen, won't give up his office without a fight. Even though he has led the realm to ruin, for once the side-effects of their war declaration against Ethiala start to come to the fore, there isn't going to be much left for him to lord over. Is there civil war coming in Taith Aenil? We can only hope....
