Talk:Fame Box/Careful Research/Heroic Death Research
The honour and prestige of those characters should be included if this is going to be any type of research--Aralaiquendi 17:43, 4 November 2006 (CET)
- That'll be pretty hard, since these data will be removed from the player history page as soon as the character dies. And I suspect it has nothing to do with Prestige/Honour anyway. -- Gsklee 06:22, 5 November 2006 (CET)
- It has nothing to do with Prestige and honour, I can confirm from my hero death. --The1exile 11:15, 5 November 2006 (CET)
Normal Heroic Deaths - Need Cases
I need real cases on Normal Heroic Deaths, otherwise I cannot compare. Do not send old cases for some factors might be different in the old times, just send new cases you've encountered. -- Gsklee 09:35, 3 December 2006 (CET)
- Isn't Alex Exiled a Normal Hero death? I got 1 point of fame for him - you have the details. --The1exile 14:08, 3 December 2006 (CET)
- Hmmm, this one a Normal one, no? My newest guess is that the thing is somehow related with the number of realms the Hero once visited. -- Gsklee 05:23, 4 December 2006 (CET)
- I'm pretty sure he's a normal one. I think it might be that if they emigrated, they get more fame (better known across the continents)... --The1exile 07:11, 4 December 2006 (CET)
Being legendary?
I haven't seen this anywhere... But perhaps it has to do with the ammount of battles he was involved in, the number of troops he led as a hero, the ammount of casualties he caused, the number of opponents he battled, or the ammount of times he told his story. -Chénier 21:09, 13 January 2007 (CET)
- Nope. There's a known case of one guy being a hero for only a few hours before he was killed. --The1exile 00:41, 14 January 2007 (CET)
- And gained the 3 fame points? Perhaps the stats include what he did before he was a hero as well? Oh, and is it possible to gain the 3 fame points for a legendary hero before the 1 for a normal hero? -Chénier 04:26, 14 January 2007 (CET)
- Yes, I specifically remember someone saying his first dead hero earned him 3 fame points.
- Maybe size of battle, or how many hits his unit took in his dying battle, or how much damage his unit did in said battle, or family fame? Vellos 06:40, 14 January 2007 (CET)
- Tom siad it wasn't the size if the battle. And you can take a look at Alex's death if you want to see a battle that only gave me 1 fame. I'm pretty sure you get 3 after your hero emigrated, but proving that theory is hard. --The1exile 14:10, 14 January 2007 (CET)
- I don't think emigration matters in deciding whether you get 1 or 3 fame points. Some heroes who emigrated were killed and got 1 fame, and some heroes who stayed with their realm from day one got 3 fame. -Pizarro
- Examples? I have yet to see a hero on BT not be legendary. --The1exile 15:26, 14 January 2007 (CET)
- Yep, unless we can get a few more cases about normal heroic deaths, I don't think we can have any real progress here. -- Gsklee 05:43, 15 January 2007 (CET)
- On the family page of the Barghoutis (most heroes killed within a family), it says that Najibs death got 1 fame point, implying he was not 'legendary'. Najib emigrated a couple times before ending up in Sandalak where he was killed. Kyra, another hero, started her career in Eston and stayed there until she was killed, earning 3 fame points, implying she was legendary. Also, Najib was older, more experienced and had more H/P than Kyra. -Pizarro
Pretty Sure?
With all the evidence we've got I think it's pretty safe to say that your first hero that dies gives you 1 fame point and your second that dies gives you three. Which means having a second hero is your "legendary" hero. -- Shenron
