Von Ulthuan Family
Origins
Descended from a minor woodland noble family, the Von Ulthuan Family has its ancestral roots in Nascot. They rose to prominence when after the death of the family patriarch Roland, Cuthbert I felt the time had come to bring glory to the name. Rising quickly through the ranks of the Caligus nobility he quickly became Lord of Aestus and later High Marshal, Archpriest and later duke of Akesh Temple, Domus, Partora and finally Hamadan where the family settled at it's height before being evicted to Aestus during the Fallangard secession crisis. Meanwhile Cuthbert's brother Aenarion, tired of living in his brother's shadow travelled further afield and never settled, starting in Oligarch before joining Light of Fountain and finally moving to Ash Sea Islands before being executed for alleged infiltration. Kyra, Aenarion's daughter went even further, travelling to Madina on Dwilight, becoming Court Mistress and writing their constitution. For reasons unknown the family travelled back to Hamadan and locked themselves in their vast keep. When a new duke of Hamadan was appointed and the keep reopened no trace was found. Now they have re emerged in Aestus and their story continues.
