===Tournament in Aix, Perdan!!===
Queen Evangeline Uceek of Perdan announced a Joust and Swordfighting Tournament on the 24th of this month that is to be held in Aix within 7 days. According to the invitation our realm received from Queen Uceek all participants that plan on entering the Tournament must pay 20 gold peices for their entery into the competition in hopes of winning the 800 gold for the first placer of Joust and Sword while the second best will be receiving 300 gold peices. According to our information the invitation was sent to all the realms on the East Continent, even the far flung realms of Sirion and OR whom will have to travel far and long to make it to the tourney in time to participate in the event. No special announcement has been made as to the occasion of the tournament but Ichigo, the cheif editor of the Itorunt Informer is heading towards the tournament grounds now and will be providing more information as it is uncovered.

No, it's not another of those lame "situational comedy" plays ("sitcoms" for short) or a physical exercise group. Greg Lawrence, as you should already know if you read the last article, is the founder of a guild called the Chivalric Knights. I decided to have a talk with him over dinner at a nice restaurant. I gave him a set of questions, and he was happy to reply to most of them; for your convenience, I have arranged his responses such that each question is followed by the appropriate response: How do the Chivalric Knights go about influencing other realms and people to your virtues and way of life? Are the Chivalric Knights focused on just one realm, or is the guild free of any realm politics? Why do you believe monarchy is the best form of government? Wouldn't a republic be better, since it represents all the people of the realm? Is there some sort of test one must pass to gain admittance to the guild or to become a full member? Do you have any members from realms outside of Yssaria? How does the Code of Chivalry work in relation to local and realm laws? What would be the proper course of action if a realm order was to contradict the Code? Would you condone going against the realm in order to uphold the Code? Similarly, if a lord to whom one swore loyalty betrayed the realm, would it be proper to defend that lord, or to defy them for the good of the realm? Any closing comments? Any more questions please ask. I also asked him what set his guild apart from the many similar guilds on the continent, but he had no answer for me. His guild sounds quite intriguing, but there exist a few similar guilds nearby with less strict rules and ideologies. However, he founded his guild with the best of intentions, and I wish him luck on getting new members and expanding his guild. --Ichigo A Guild of ChivalryWhile at the tournament, I received a letter from a certain Greg Lawrence of Yssaria advertising his guild, the Chivalric Knights. I must admit, my first instinct was to throw the letter away immeditaly, but then I had a better idea: why not interview him and see what the guild was all about? I mean, it wouldn't be fair to just ignore him when he might have something to say. I then asked him for a bit more information about the guild, and he provided some: Alright here is a lot of info about my guild. We have guild houses located right here in Domus and also two more in which one is located in Tota and the other is located in Scio. I would love to have a interview just let me know when. Here is our info. We are knights. We honor the Code of Chivalry and everything within it. We protect the weak and innocent, uphold justice, and are chivalric above all. The guild of Chivalric Knights is about influencing other realms and people to our virtues and way of life. We strive to:
Any noble, who supports our cause, can become a knight of our order. We invite you to join us! The Code of Chivalry:
I'm sure this information helped anyone who might have found the name interesting, butit also gave me an idea: interview this man and find out more about his guild. Keep an eye out for this interview in the days to come! --Ichigo Tournament ResultsThe tournament in Domus ended just under a week ago. For those who forgot, it was a swordfighting-only tournament; as in most tournaments, I got free training. I didn't see any pie, though; I will have to bring it up next time I visit them. Anyway, just under 200 nobles were present at the tournament. Unfortunately, I lost in the very first round to Jorel of Kent, one of our newer nobles. Our fellow Itoruntian Terrence got as far as the sixth round before losing, unfortunately, to the later champion of the tournament. This champion was none other than Falcion of Perdan, winning 800 gold for his defeat of another Perdanite, Iain, who received 300 gold for getting to the final. The tournament was fun, all in all, and I was relieved of my boredom for a time. May the next one be even better! --Ichigo |
