Sirdan Lux, in early adulthood the most military-minded amongst his brethren, set out to East Continent at the age of 17. He swore allegiance to Fontan, but shortly did his service last. What has happened to him in a desert of windy Sermbar no tale tells. For years he was tought lost, engulfed by a desert storm or some similar nature's whim which ruled the hostile region. Beads of time have passed, forming years, before his cousin, Targon Valerian, already a well established Atamaran noble, sent a group of most capable Ithilian rangers to search for any trace of Sirdan. He didn't have any real hope of finding Sirdan alive, but after the heroic death of Elladan Losfer, his twin brother, and mysterious passing of Zaratin Anarion in Beluaterra, Targon had been struck by great grief, which spurred him to desparate search of any remaining members who would continue Hathor's lineage.
The Lost SoulBut, as all things good are short to last, so was the content of the Luxes. With Falasan burnt to the ground, Minas Ithil was pressed hard at that time, by many realms all over Atamara. Shanandoah was besieged numerous times, and defenders, amongst whom Sirdan and Targon, worn down. In one of final assaults on the city walls, Targon was badly wounded and Sirdan lost his mind. Battle-crazed, defying countless arrows, he climbed the walls of Shanandoah shouting profanities at the advancing enemy. The attack engulfed him, as it did many others. In the aftermath of battle for Shanandoah, Sirdan's body had not been found. It is unknown to this day, if he met his end or escaped Atamara in total lunacy. |
