Meneriel is a plains region, full of small, rural villages and single family farms. Most of its commoners are simple farmers, raising both crops and livestock. In Meneriel's largest villiage, located in the center-northeast of the region, things stay fairly busy with many travelers passing through Meneriel almost constantly via the Great South Road that runs from the north out of Melias south to Barad Lacirith. Meneriel is heavily traveled, forming a crossroads in Eston between both the North and South as well as the East and West.

The entire region experiences wide seasonal variations in temperature and precipitation. Average temperatures are fairly uniform across Meneriel, while average annual precipitation decreases west to east from about 31.5 inches (800 mm) in the southeast corner of Meneriel to about 13.8 inches. Snowfall across the region is fairly even, with most of Meneriel receiving between 25 and 35 inches (650 to 900 mm) of snow annually.

Current Lord and Vassals

The current lord of Meneriel, is Sir Kerwin Perth, Count of Meneriel. He was appointed by Duke Arturius Entreri in late September, 1008. His current vassals, two knights, Sir Sean Sinclair and Sir Drake Alexander Salvator, serve him loyally and faithfully to aid in the upkeep and well-being of the region.
