Legend

Argustain was said to be a lord in an ancient kingdom. He was tall with icy blue eyes. His fierce gaze could freeze his enemies in place. In his youth, he had a fiery temper. It is said he defeated three knights single handedly after an argument over a perceived insult by one of the knights. So his father took it upon himself to teach Argustain archery as a way to focus his son's passions.

Argustain took to archery. He rarely missed his targets, and that was only because he intended to miss to accentuate a point. He even made his own bow, a recurved composite bow he called "Heart Seeker". The arrows were typically made of birch. The normal length of the arrow was between 80 and 100 cm long and 10 mm wide.

It is said one day, traveling with one of his knights, they stop for a short rest. While the knight made a cooking fire, Argustain went out hunting. When he returned, the men went about preparing the meat. Argustain wasn't paying attention to his surroundings. A snake that has slithered near him prepared to attack with his fangs filled with deadly poison. The knight noticed the snake and pushed his lord out of the way, taking the bite himself. Argustain quickly killed the snake and turned to his knight. The man died in Argustain's arms. Inspired by the man's bravery and self sacrifice, Argustain re-dedicated his life to the teachings of the Great Father and his Saints.

Sections of The Arrow's Path

"Aim Small, Miss Small". Understand your target as you would known yourself. Feel his fears, his desires, his dreams, and his heart beat. Know how he moves and how he reacts. In that way you can predict where he will be. Aim for the smallest area of that person you can. In that way, even if you miss, you still hit your target.

"The Void" Before you can fire your bow, you must empty yourself. In your mind, create a void. Into that void, poor all your emotions, all your passions into. In that way you become a void yourself. It eliminates all the distractions and makes your bow an extension of yourself. Then you can fire. Then you can hit your target.
