1. Separation of Power:

i. No Citizen may hold more than one Senior Position
ii. The 7 Senior Positions are defined as: Lord Vixir, Prime Knight, Executor, Master Steward and the Heads of the Three Great Houses.
iii. The aim of this law is to ensure that power is spread widely, engaging more Citizens in Government.
iv. This law will also guard against one Citizen obtaining too much power.
v. A Citizen holding a Senior Position can still stand for election to other Senior Positions, but must stand down from their prior position upon being elected. They are permitted to retain the prior position for up to one week, whilst a Successor is Elected.
vi. If no Citizen announces their candidacy within the first half of the referendum period, articles (i) and (v) are suspended for the election in question e.g. in a 5 day election, articles (i) and (v) are suspended after 2.5 days.

This law was ratified on 1st August 1015, repealed on 3rd January 1017 before being reinstated with revisions on 16th May 1017. This law was suspended on 1st August 1018, and is currently not in effect.
