Origin

Monford is a member of the Laenorran branch of House Velaryon. A bastard child of Laurentius the Gilded, half-brother to Swenja and Aeravon.

Character and appearance

A calculative person with machiavellian undertones, but at times he can be very direct and blunt. Monford inherited many traits of his father Laurentius, the merchant prince of Dwilight. Hedonism, debauchery, alcoholism, but a very clear understanding of how the world works and good military instincts. A Fatmilak by birth, he is known to piracy and seafaring, but has over the years completely lost the roughness of his youth.

Death

Monford died at the age of 29 in Padaost. He welcomed death's embrace like a true hero of Halcyon, fully clad in battle armor, riding on his horse whilst charging into a host of undead that mortally wounded him. His body was saved by the approaching army of Halcyon and carried away for a proper burial. Two days after he was buried, leaving behind grieving friends and lovers, and no legitimate heirs. With his dying will he elevated Gavilius Equestrianus, a minor noble in charge of his cavalrymen, to high nobility and adopted him into the House. After Monford was buried Gavilius took over the family affairs in Colonies and became the closest as it gets to Monford's successor.
