Show Preview

Hey mate, please use show preview before saving your edits. And I'd suggest not doing sectional editing. By the way, I'm probably going to be reorganizing the page sometime later today anyway. Just a bit discouraged after the effort I put in it last night. --Vita Family 19:38, 13 January 2009 (CET)

Thanks for the advice, im fairly new to editing Wiki pages, and the realm pages are so outdated its unreal. --Du Blois Family 20:15, 13 January 2009 (CET)

Realm Categories

We are trying to remove all region and family pages(unless of special significance) from realm categories. Lasanar was a bad example, don't bother copying them. :P I guess that works IC and OOC lol. --Vita Family 20:28, 13 January 2009 (CET)

Region pages are already part of the "region" category. There is no need to add them to n number of categories just because you can, especially when it is something like a region. Regions often change ownership, so while they may at one point be a border of, say, Lasanar, a few months down the road the same region could be the border of a completely new realm. --bannable 20:29, 13 January 2009 (CET)

":" can be used to indent a paragraph. Also, please remember to sign your messages. You would be correct in saying that I removed the regions from Lasanar's category, the others which were removed were replaced after one of the editors and I had a brief discussion on the topic over IRC. The eventual conclusion of that discussion was that region pages do not belong in a realm category, other issues aside. Also, consider what you were representing by putting them into a category. If I'm not mistaken, the intent was to show the two were related - but that is what links are for, not categories. The regions are not something specific to the concept that is Lasanar and it's government whereas laws and histories are. I hope I explained myself well enough, but I think I ended up rambling :/ --bannable 20:37, 13 January 2009 (CET)
Another trick - the colons can stack to indent even further :) You should check out IRC some time. --bannable 20:49, 13 January 2009 (CET)

Ohnar West

Yeah, I updated Akanos earlier today, but I lost the edit. -.- --Vita Family 01:01, 14 January 2009 (CET)

Island numbers are simple
  • 1: East Island
  • 2: Atamara
  • 4: Beluaterra
  • 6: Colonies
  • 7: Far East
  • 8: Dwilight
You can find region numbers by going to the region list on the island you are looking for, hoving your mouse on the url and looking at the number at wherever your browser previews the url(usually the bottom I believe). Alternatively, you can go to that region page, click view image, and look at that number. --Vita Family 01:21, 14 January 2009 (CET)
Please don't make another template. Use RealmBox Project. We are trying to cut down on the number of templates floating around. Realmbox is easily customizable and can be used for realms, regions, religions, guilds, or almost anything. --Vita Family 01:33, 14 January 2009 (CET)
I converted it to one link because its about the character and should be easily linked that way. It's not hard to click the family link at the top of the character page if they wish to read about that. Someone not knowing there are two different links and expect it to be one link will click it and may think its just a family page and not a character page. The # and / are two different methods of doing family pages. If there is a subpage I believe its preferable to link to that as that is what the game wants. For those who don't have subpages(myself included), # is preferable.
I deleted surrounding area because that is visible on the map. Recruitable troops and paraphanelia helps enemies plan wars. Temples could probably be readded, but I thought of some religions or lords not wanting to display their temples or the information becoming outdated. Region hierarchy could become easily outdated, but I kept it there for reasons of rped claims later on. I kept the one temple that had special significance to them.
The armies section of Ohnar West makes it easier for enemies to know our marshals and assassinate them. There is already a region section and it doesn't need repeated. The same applies to the map(the current one is auto-updating while the other is static). When the page is longer, I plan to move the map to a different section of the page like other realm pages I have done. --Vita Family 10:21, 16 January 2009 (CET)
Yes, that would be fine. It would also elongate the page with more information and get us sooner to moving the map further down the page. --Vita Family 21:14, 16 January 2009 (CET)

Fame

1 - Bruiantt elected as Banker of Akadian League -- Probably incorrect. The realm was too small. I never got the banker point myself.

1 - Bruiant(Adventurer) killed monster hunting -- I thought advies didn't get the death point, but that would actually explain one of mine. Maybe it's right.

1 - Bruiantt being judge of Akadian League (1 day?) -- again, realm too small

1 - Elowen becomming a trader (?) -- I am certain just becoming a trader is not enough, but the criteria for the trader points are fuzzy; I think it is not impossible someone would get it without even realizing it.

1 - Exceptional Skill? Bruiantt has 50%+ leadership, Elowen 50%+ Beurocracy -- FameBox says this only counts as one, but you'll notice many people count it as two on their pages, so maybe.

The others are certainly correct. vonGenf 17:33, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
