Ceri

Born to a wandering Knight and a woman of little consequence, Ceri never knew her parents as they died when she was very young. She was raised by her brother Keith, who raised her to be a warrior. When Ceri reached the age of 17, Keith (who recently married and settled down with his wife) sent her to the family ancestral home of Meneriel. Her deep love for Keith and immense desire to please him are her main motivations in life so far. Thus, she has come to serve the King of Eston as his loyal servant.

Being raised by her brother, a warrior, Ceri's education was mostly in the art of war. Also, never having attended court sessions Ceri is clumsy at best with etiquette - sometimes being overly stiff and formal and at other times forgetting proper protocol. However, she is deeply respectful of her superiors and seeks to earn the trust of her subordinates. She trusts her men and her sword to get through any scrapes she may run into.

Bryn

Illegitimate child of Alun and a bar wench by the name of Morgan. Despite being a living reminder of her father's indiscretions, Morgan and Bryn received a stipend from the Ordyn family coffers. This allowed Bryn some latitude in her livelihood, which lead to her near obsession with hunting. Her earliest memories are of holding a bow. To this day, she still treasures the bow her father sent her when she was 5. Although long out-grown, she has it mounted in the main hall.

Today, she is the proud leader of a band of longbow men. She seeks to make a name for herself in the Antoza Commonwealth, far from the native Ordyn home-lands of Eston. While she is diligent and honest, Bryn also has bit of a mischievous streak. She enjoys practical jokes and loves to laugh.

Bryn ended up in Nighthelm after Antoza broke apart following her lord Hadubrand and the region of Azros. However, due to Nighthelm's double cross of Antoza, she had no wish to serve their realm. With the internal strife Nighthelm fell into, she decided that it was time to find a new realm that she could serve with her full loyalty.

Bryn chose to immigrate to Cathay, the newly formed realm based in Anacan. She wished to continue serving her home land. She would rather work with Cathay to restore peace and prosperity to the peasants of the failing Antoza as quickly as possible. She does not believe that Antoza can or will survive and would rather see the peasantry under new leadership of Cathay than that of Nighthelm who seems to have little regard for their needs.

She is now a proud knight of Pates.
