Patron Aenil

Rhamiel

Known for her intelligence and caring, the Aenil favours those who seek knowledge for a good cause. She is associated with inquisitiveness.

Her colour is blue.

Amriel

A strong and passionate Aenil, Amriel is known to assist those who are most influenced by their instinctive feelings. She is associated with intuition.

Her colour is red.

Onias

An honourable and proud Aenil, Onias favours those who value duty, loyalty and honour. He is associated with recollection.

His colour is green.

Nurn

Tough and resilient, Nurn is the patron of those who tend towards stoicism. He is associated with fortitude.

His colour is orange.

Suria

A contemplative Aenil, and one of the wisest, Suria favours those searching for inner peace and knowledge. She is associated with introspection.

Her colour is silver.

Varro

Mischievous and quick, Varro is the patron of independent thinkers and tricksters. He is associated with rebellion.

His colour is purple.

Kadai

The betrayer, the fallen one, the jealous - Kadai is the enemy of all but a chosen few individuals of humanity. He is the associated with resentment.

His colour is black.

Bloodlines

Nobles have the blood of the above Aenil in them, to a lesser or greater degree. Kadai's blood was only introduced relatively recently, and therefore tends to be the rarest. Rhamiel and Amriel are the most common, since it is usually either the passionate or the caring who are the most likely to have children. In truth, however, most nobles have a sizeable part of at least two or three bloodlines in them. The essences of different Aenil will come to the fore at different times. Some bloodlines mix better than others, however.

Harmonious

The dominance of Rhamiel and Amriel tends to produce vigorous and headstrong individuals. When Varro and Amriel come to the fore, their offspring will be impulsive and quick, but also charismatic. Suria blends well with most bloodlines. Onias and Rhamiel make loyal and caring offspring, with a strong sense of allegiance to family (adopted or otherwise). One of the few bloodlines that Kadai blends well with is Varro; the individuals produced may not be caring, but they will be confident and self-reliant, if not a little arrogant.

Discordant

Kadai is a poor blood to take hold of almost any human, producing confusion and self doubt - this worst of all when mixed with Suria, when introspection offers only a bleak view. Nurn and Amriel are not a good match; the result is an individual without much empathy.
