The Founding

Tuchanon V was founded as a tyranny on November 6, 2007, when Duke Rackir seceded the city of Isadril from Yssaria. Duke Rackir's letter announcing the secession can be found here. The regions of Leibo, Igno, and Tota followed Isadril in the secession.

Tuchanon V immediately moved to ally with Yssaria to prevent going to war them after the succession. King Rackir would rather deal with Yssaria diplomatically, but if it came to it then the sword would be used also.

With peace declared with our neighbours to the north and south, only Itorunt remained. War was declared to continue to the fight.

The Military

The main force of Tuchanons V is in the form of "The Perfect Army". This is the main strike element of the realm. With all nobles and knights aligned to this army, at any time the full force of Tuchanon V can assemble at one place to assist their allies fight against our common enemy. The marshal of this army is Sir Trigius Sarracenia, Marquis of Tota.

The Land

Tuchanon V's regions are in constant dispute.

Isadril

Isadril, sitting on the banks of the Great Southern Sea, is a city that has grown from a small trading settlement from when the continent was first founded. Using the local resources of metal and stone, the industry has grown to one that produces half of the exported goods in the south of the continent. With a fine variety of weapons being produced from the foundries and metal smiths of the western part of the city, to the expert stonemasons from the northern quarter. The eastern half, contains the merchant quarters crammed around the port of Isadril, which is said to see over 50 ships a day transit through the port authorities control. The remaining part of the city is populated with the estates of the nobles who look over the green plains of Tota.

Tota

Tota, sandwiched 'twixt the large cities of Isadril and Xavax, the large coastal town of Tota runs a brisk trade in local specialties and bureaucracy.

Tota's main income source comes from the usurious local taxes inflicted upon any merchant passing through, mostly overseen by the bureaucrats located in the central government building that is the second largest building in the region, and the largest in the main town itself. Other sundries come from the local delicacies of the fishing industry, as well as crafted statuettes, often of local religious figures. Much of Tota's infrastructure still lies deserted as a result of past bouts of wartime starvation, mostly in some suburbs, the more remote fishing villages and the outer farmland hamlets.

The Marquis' estate lies on the coast, overlooking the beach to the south and fields to the north-west, with a direct route north into the town centre.

Igno

Igno, stands landlocked between the forest to the west, Tota to the east and Isadril some northeast.

Upon arrival, travelers find the Motte and Bailey, firm fortifications made of wood and surrounded by a trench filled with water. The draw bridge opens the way, going under the gatehouse, atop of which now waves Itorunt's banner.Inside the town is prosperous, mostly from trade from then nearby rural and woodland areas, the people are happy and peace reigns. Militia stands atop the walls, but few police force is needed to calm the populace. The market is ever-filled with people, as are taverns, and few are worried from the army of Tuchanon V, of whom they care not. Atop a hill inside the fortifications stands the Marquis's manor, whom most are afraid to approach. Since it was built it has been said it to be haunted, but recent times have only made this legend endure. Marquis Darg is a good and kind lord, but from time to time, horrid screams and wails come from his manor.

All in all, Igno stands proud and peaceful, welcomes travelers who come with good intentions and respect the realm that liberated them.

Leibo

Leibo is a rural region in the southern highlands of the East Island. It is located on the southern banks of the Isadril River, where the river empties into the Bay of Isadril. Immediately to the southeast is the city of Isadril, former capital city of the lost nations of Isadril and Fallangard. A short distance to the west is the city of Ibladesh, capital of Ibladesh.

There are two bridges which provide easier access to the region. The bridges connected Mines of Isadril and Abadan and were built up by the peasants on either sides. The bridges were built to facilitate the existing trade routes. Trading is a major part of the peasants life in the region since they first settled here.

The beautiful scenery near the two bridges allows for artists and painters from all over the East Island to converge. Many reputedly beautiful and nice paintings are sold to the nobles who come visit once in awhile to indulge in the beautiful scenery.

Fishing is the main industry in Leibo. Peasants and even nobles can sometime be found fishing on the shoreline of the region.

Hunting is another booming industry in the western Leibo. There are abundance of wild life to be found on the west side of Leibo jungles. The peasants make coats and clothes from the wild animal skins.

In the center of the region, there is a Manor built up for the Lord headquarter. The Lord can be found working deep inside the study room the Manor. There is usually lot of scribes coming in and out of the Manor. The Manor has stood strong through test of times of war. It is repaired regularly by the peasants themselves. Since the past lords do not demand for any statues to be made in their honors, the peasants decide to pay tribute to them through their folksongs, stories and even their paintings.

Allies

Our allies have been few, but have been much valued.

Ibladesh

We have been allies for a long time and we continue to fight against our common enemy, Itorunt. With our combined forces, we have successfully been waging a war to bring Itorunt to her knees.

Fontan

Although we are allies, we cannot help them in their current situation at the present time.

Enemies

Our enemies are few, yet we strive hard to defeat them.

Itorunt

Ever since our secession Itorunt has been our enemy. With our long time ally Ibladesh we are fighting for survival and recognition.

Old Rancagua

They declared war on us as they do not like our people. Their reasons are unknown and we do not know what insult we have given them in the past to deserve such hostility towards ourselves.

Perdan

Perdan declared war on Tuchanon V because they do not like our name. The first attack came within a matter of days of the declaration of war. Their attacks broke against our walls and we expect many more battles like this one

The Fall

During the war with Perdan, the Perdanese army systematically looted the outlying regions of Tuchanon V: Leibo, Igno, and Tota. With Tuchanon unable to maintain control of the regions, they were quickly driven rogue. Perdan began laying siege to the city, attempting to cut off food supplies from the city. After three major assaults on the city, by the armies of Perdan, the nobles of Tuchanon decided that they could not win. Percival Prestongreen cut a deal with King Doombrigner of Caligus to turn the city over to Caligus. While the Perdanese armies were away from the siege to refit, Tuchanon and Caligus quickly moved to take advantage of the situation. The Duke of Isadril disbanded over 20,000 CS of militia defending the city. Caligus declared war and immediately moved into the city. Following an obligatory skirmish the Caligan army quickly began the takeover. Four days later the city was taken, and Tuchanon V was no more.
