The Kingdom of Averoth is a realm in northern Dwilight, geographically located on the divide between the two great continents of east and west. The capital of the realm is the city of Valkyrja, an island city hosting a great white spire overlooking the expansive ocean. Averoth was founded in the summer by a small group of nobles originally from Morek, though since its founding it has become a melting pot of many cultures, including former Guardians and nobles from several other Kingdoms.

The realm is currently organized as a pluralistic theocracy - open to all religions. Most of its nobles follow the religion of Torenism, however it is not the state religion, nor is it state sponsored.

Political control rests with the current Chancellor of Averoth, Fisc Arylon. The realm is currently at war with the realm of Astrum - a consequence of Averoth's support for Everguard during its founding, though there are rumors that the two realms have begun steps to end hostilities.

http://wiki.battlemaster.org/images/AverothFlag-icon.png The Kingdom of Averoth was founded on May 14, 2009, by a small group of independent colonists from Morek in the stronghold of Valkyrja. When messages from one of the colonist were revealed detailing plans of the colonists to render aid and sanctuary to Everguard in their war against Astrum, nobles from the parent realm of Morek elected Allison Kabrinski as the first ruler of the colony.

Her stated purpose in being elected was to destroy the colony, which received wide support from Morekians. She appointed herself judge and heavily fined the first nobles that joined the colony. Following protests from the two other realm members she was ousted from both ruler and judge positions. Though the colony survived, these incidents greatly slowed the initial start.

It was at this time that Everguard's capital city of Gelene revolted and sought political allegiance to Astrum, effectively wiping out the last power base of the once proud nation. After the destruction of their home, the remaining nobles of Everguard splintered into several realms, but many of the original founders of the realm sought refuge in Averoth, attempting to regroup and forge a new life in the former capital of the Emerald Kingdom.

After several weeks of planning and reorganization, the realm of Averoth began anew, electing Fisc Arylon as the first official ruler of the realm. Chancellor Arylon immediately reformed the government, making it clear that it was now to be a Kingdom in its own right, owing no allegiance to any parent realm or religion, be it from Morek, Astrum or Everguard. Averoth is a pluralistic nation supporting many religions and peoples, and now moves forward erasing the stains of its early existence.

http://wiki.battlemaster.org/images/AverothFlag-icon.png The sovereign political power of the Kingdom of Averoth is vested in the hands of four noble born leaders. Total command of the entire realm and all of its organs rests with the Chancellor of Averoth, who enjoys full authority over foreign and domestic policy. The Lord Marshal has full and complete control over all military affairs of the realm. The High Inquisitor is the chief administrator of justice in the realm, interpreting and enforcing all laws. The Lord Auditor controls the purse strings of the realm, setting tax policy, managing food shipments, and so on and so forth.

http://wiki.battlemaster.org/images/AverothFlag-icon.png Averoth had a very turbulent start diplomatically. It began without the blessing of the realm from whence its nobles set off from, causing immediate tension with the major power on Dwilight, Morek. Given the nature of religion on Dwilight, the realms supporting Sanguis Astroism immediately looked at Averoth with disfavor. The realm's early support for Everguard caused the nation of Astrum to declare war on the fledgling colony.

Since that time, however, stability has come to the nation, and a new direction for Averoth has calmed international waters. Relations with its neighbors are much better than they once were, and rumors are currently floating around the island that the conflict between Astrum and Averoth will soon end.

The relations with the other nations are as follows:
