| Tournament in the Obsidian Islands
|
| Recently I had the pleasure of attending a tournament in the Obsidian Islands that Emperor Shady hosted. He offered significantly large prizes for both swordfighting and jousting. I personally only got to Round 4 of the Jousting finals, but I had a good deal of fun. It was great seeing many nobles from across the continent. A huge thank you to Emperor Shady for being such a gracious host.
"Welcome to the tournament in Kazakh. 97 nobles from 8 realms paid their 15 gold entrance fee and visit the tournament grounds today to claim the winner's honours and 2000 (gold) for swordfighting (500 for second place swordfighting) and 2000 (gold) for jousting (500 for second place jousting).
This is a tournament of both, jousting and swordfight. Let's begin with the swords:

| "Let me start my statement with the fact that the Church of Ibladesh is gone. I am not a priest of an institution that is no more. Consequently, I do not and have not preached about the Church of Ibladesh. I also do not desire a new ecclesiastical institution. No, I was banished because I openly stated that I still belief in the Holy Pantheon, after a discussion between me and the Queen in private which she took into the public forums. Let me state that I never advocated any desire to preach about the Holy Pantheon, only my desire to be allowed to belief whatever I belief in and practise my beliefs in the privacy of my own home.
Also, some inaccuracies that you have been written in the White Tree Times: I am not the last priest of a fallen religion. I do not preach about the Gods any more. And in Nivemus, I only preached in Pedrera, which I received permission for."
Thank you for this entry Count Roberd. I am always glad to be corrected when mistakes are made and also have another side of the story. I always welcome any contribution submissions. | Eponllyn refuses to ban Church of Ibladesh priest.

As reported yesterday the sole remaining priest of the Church of Ibladesh, Roberd Galvez, was banned from Armonia. Shortly after he transferred the region he was a lord over, Ejarr Puutl, to Eponllyn. Recently the Queen of Eponllyn, Siana Deytheur, has made a statement that she will not ban the priest and questions the ban as there was no trial

Yes I am shocked, especially given your glowing reccommendations of his character only a few months ago.
However, the fact that he was banished with no trial is a little concerning especially when Lord Galvez tells me that your accusations are unmerited. I am afraid I cannot just ban him without seeing any evidence. So if you have reports of his preaching in public I would be much obliged if you could let me see it.
He also seems to think that his ban will be overturned and wants only to come to a peaceful settlement so are you willing to particiapte in mediations?

There has not been a response by Queen Autrey of Armonia. The question is if this may be a spark that will reignite conflicts in the south?

| Surviving priest of the Church Of Ibladesh banned from Armonia
|
News has surfaced that Roberd Galvez, the last priest of the fallen Church of Ibladesh, was recently banned from Armonia as a traitor and for continuing to preach his banned faith.

| Armonia has banned the traitor Roberd Galvez from within its borders when it was revealed that he was still an active devotee of the Church of Ibladesh.
Any realm that decides to accept him should know that regardless of what he says, he will not give up his faith, and he will continue to preach, publicly or privately, about the Church of Ibladesh. My advice is that you do not, under any circumstances, allow him into your realm. |

Shortly after Roberd Galvez, who was the lord of Ejarr Puutl, switched the allegiance of his region to Eponllyn. It is not expected that Eponllyn will take kindly to this incident. However, if they do indeed tolerate the priest there may be consequences as Queen Autrey has stated.

| The traitor Roberd Galvez has seceded the region of Ejarr Puutl to join Eponllyn after having been banished from Armonia for worshiping the pantheon of Ibladesh.
Of course, this will not stand. I am sure Queen Siana was as surprised at this as I am, and will agree to return the region and ban Roberd from her realm as well.
We will not allow worship of an illegal faith to rise again in the South. Roberd Galvez openly supports The Church of Ibladesh and as such he is considered an enemy of the state to Armonia. |

Roberd Galvez and the Church of Ibladesh have a conflicted history on the Eastern Continent. Perdan and Caligus had started and won a war in which the goal was the destruction of the realm of Ibladesh and it's religion. Many members of the faith fled and most abandoned their faith. However, Priest Roberd Galvez stayed committed. This lead to him eventually coming to the realm of Nivemus. There he was allowed to join and even granted lordship over a small rural region. There was much debate within Nivemus of this and it eventually came to head when he was fined and asked to leave the realm of Nivemus because of pressure from Perdan as well as he refused to not spread his faith in lands that he was not permitted to.
Eventually he seemed to resurface shortly in Perdan and now Armonia. While it is quite impressive that the man has such a strong and long belief in his faith, it should be said that the faith that he practices is likely to not be welcomed in any realm on the Eastern Continent.

| Sirion takes Krimml
|
| Today Sirion took the former capital city of Fontan, Krimml. Since the fall of the proud democracy this city has been in no realms hands. It was though that it would end up being taken by Dunnera, however with that realms collapse it's fate was unsure until now. With the taking of the city in the central part of the Eastern Continent, conflict seems to have arisen between Sirion and Westmoor. Although it is unsure that war between these two nations will break out once again, things are definitely quite tense right now in the north.

| November Power Rankings

| The rankings remain the same as from the beginning of October, with the exception of the young realm of Dunnera which has been removed due to its destruction.
1. Sirion
Sirion easily maintains its top spot in the hierarchy. Their military and economic strength cannot be beat and their food production and supply actually seem to be leveling out and actively growing. They are in a position to absorb much of Dunnera's refugee's as well as their former regions of Braga and Oporto. As well as the unclaimed city of Krimml. This may bring them into conflict with Caligus or Westmoor. Also strengthening them is their alliance with Nivemus and the Obsidian Islands.
2. Perdan
Taking a solid second, Perdan is the balancing power to Sirion with a well-organized and strong military and a wide amount of regions to maintain its economy. With Ibeldesh City finally being taken by Eponllyn it will be interesting to see this realm's interactions with the realms in the south in the future.
3. Caligus
With the destruction of Dunnera and retaking Fontan City along with potentially more former regions of Dunnera, Caligus has brought up its power significantly. King Dobromir has not been afraid to show and stretch his power and willingness to dominate those who challenge him. This is good news for Caligus as it definitely raises their status amongst the other realms.
4. Westmoor
Westmoor was about to overtake Caligus, however by no reason of its own, did not do so. Still a very solid realm with a religion that maintains a central part of the state and court within it. There has been little news however from any nobles within it as of late.
5. Nivemus
Solidifying their alliance with both Sirion and the invitation of Obsidian Islands into the Northern Confederation, Nivemus has just barely increased in its power. It's regions remain productive and growing and it's military remains solid. However, Nivemus is the only realm on the continent that has never engaged in hostilities and it's military power remains untested.
6. Armonia
Given just a bit more of a push, Armonia will overtake Nivemus's spot at number 5.
7. Eponllyn
An economic powerhouse that now has the major task of restoring the biggest city on the continent. The road will be long and tedious for this realm, but one must hope that they can restore the glory of that great city and possibly succeed in becoming a great power as those realms who once held it before. Queen Siana also recently held a tournament that had quite a good turn-out.
8. Obsidian Islands
Obsidian Islands sadly has taken the last spot again. But, not all is bad news. They recently joined in an alliance with Sirion and Nivemus which gives the realm a bit more a spot in politics on the island.

| Contributor Story: Tournament Results in Eponllyn.

| Siana Deytheur, Queen of Eponllyn, Duchess of Semall, Margravine of Semall has announced a tournament of Joust and Swordfight to be held in Semall recently. 86 nobles from 9 realms joined the Tournament.
In final round of Swordfight, Jaroslav from Eponllyn bested Giselle from Sirion.
For jousting contest finale, Tanya from Armonía beats Cain from Sirion.
Both Eponllyn and Armonía are realms formed from fallen Ibladesh realm. It seems fitting that a noble of Eponllyn should win the sword fighting and that a noble of Armonia should win the Jousting.

| A Note from the Editor

| I want to apologize that the October issue was so bare of any articles or news in general. Part of it had to do with things generally being slow on the Eastern Continent. The other part of it had to do with my own business that took me away from my work here. However, as I am retiring from my position as Legodos of Nivemus, I hope that I can more readily update this newspaper and stay up on going-ons.
The most noteworthy things that occurred in October was the destruction of Dunnera. I certainly thought that they would be able to last longer, but by October 26th, Caligus had already taken Fontan City, the capital of Dunnera. However, any hope of capturing King Traemlin was dashed when it was reported he was seen on a ship heading to Beluaterra before the city fell. Shortly after, Davis Nosferatus was elected Grand Duke of Dunnera and that he remains. However his rule will be short lived as the last of Dunnera's regions have either fallen rogue or gone to Caligus or Sirion.
