The Tribunal/Taint

The Taint is something that has been affecting the people of the Far East for many years now. From what has been gathered, the first signs of the Taint started in the Highland Empire. And this would later lead to its destruction, but thats getting ahead of ourselves. So let us begin from the start...

Before the Taint blossomed into what it is today, we must first learn of Sadi SaDiablo. For it is this man that allowed the Taint into this world. In the Western world there is a place called Giblot. It is here that the story begins, for it is here that Sadi's darkness reigned. But he was not alone in this, for there is also Outer Tilog. A dark place were all may have fallen to Taint. But it is Sadi that nurtured the Taint, until it finally blossomed.

In time Sadi would leave the Republic of Giblot, and make his way to the Far East. At this point it is not known where he was. Some believe that he made a home in Batesoar, a home amoung the most vile of people. Surrounded by this evil, would account for the growth of the Taint. But eventually he makes his way north, to the Highland Empire. And this is where it blossomed. Another who had traveled to this place is a Zuni Ilwaukim, who rumours say is related to a denizen of Outer Tilog. And possible the catalyst as to why the Taint was born.

Because of this event many people lost there lives, and this continued for years. Until finally Sadi was disposed and exiled from the Highland Empire. Over the next year, the people of the Highland Empire tried to right the many wrongs perpetrated by Sadi. But by then it was too late, the Taint had spread to the neighbouring kingdoms. The Republic of Lasanar in particular was singled out by the Taint. And it took hold of many of its more influential noble houses. Daran Hawke was one of the Lasanarian nobility that was consumed by the Taint. And by his will, he set in motion the destruction of the Highland Empire.

After gruelling months, and many changing in the Highland Empire ruling caste. The kingdom that had for past months sought peace, and too right its pasts wrongs had vanished. Zuni Ilwaukim was in fact the last to rule over the dead kingdom. And for what ever reason, the Taint decided to hide itself. When Daran Hawke challenged Yarah Arya, Daran left this world. Yarah had no clue as to how this happened, but Daran was killed by his hands. What we can guess at, is that in that heated battle. The Taint was able to take hold of Yarah. Causing him to take the very life of one of his friends, and because of this Daran was probably released from the Taint. Only watch his own death.
