Lots and Lots (and lots more!) Bugs FixedOctober 27, 2008
As you may have noticed from the new login message, there have recently been a lot of bugs fixed. The number fixed is too extensive to list here. (And quite a few of them are very small textual changes, anyway.) One significant bug that has been fixed is the inability to appoint a new duke following a peasant revolt that kicks out the old duke. The bug note says that it will not fix an existing problem with this, but will prevent the situation from happening again.

Congrats to Tom and all the new devs for all their hard work!

Developer Activity Picking UpOctober 13, 2008
Some of you who are active on the bugtracker may have recently noticed a flurry of new activity. It appears that Tom has given several new people developer access to the bugtracker, and quite possibly to the codebase. This has lead to many bugs being updated with closed/resolved/acknowledged status, and apparently a few minor bugs fixed. (Mostly related to gender issues.) Hopefully we'll see more activity as the new developers get up to speed and start making larger contributions.

Clearing up Some RumoursSeptember 19, 2008
No, we haven't abandoned you. It's just that there really has not been anything of note worth reporting happening lately. However, the following clarification on "monster punishments" was recently posted to all nobles on Atamara:

"Tom Punishments"

I've heard about rumours that some monster/undead attacks are "punishment from Tom".
As usual, these rumours are total bull$#!t. When Tom punishes, he does so visibly, with lightning bolts and an explanation why. Especially undead or monsters are never intentionally sunk on any specific realm, except maybe on Beluaterra during an invasion.

There are numerous reasons why undead and monsters could happen more often in some parts of the map than others. The reasons can even be different for undead and monsters. One of the most likely reason is adventurers keeping the other places better cleaned up.

So, if you see monsters or undead heading your way, they are all automatically generated by the game code, which makes absolutely no difference between realm X and realm Y.
