The Great Rabble

The Great Rabble Army, also known as the Xavaxian Horde, was a giantic force of commoners, originating from Isadril City in the realm of Greater Xavax and initially around 18,000 in number, which rampaged across Southern and Central East Continent.
The massed rising of Isadril City's populace is believed to be a direct consequence of an attempted Portal opening by the Adventurer Tobin, coinciding with two other Portal openings on the East Continent which were observed in Chaos Temple (Obsidian Islands) and Tallbar (Sirion). Apparently enraged at this occurrence the commoners of Isadril City took up arms and set upon a pursuit of Tobin, who subsequently fled North-West into Liebo (Fallangard) and then through the Mines Of Isadril (The Kingdom Of Caligus), where the Rabble engaged and routed Lord Bjorn Utengar’s militia.
This caused an inter-realm discussion between the Rulers and Generals of the East Continent, with many being alarmed at reports of such a large Xavaxian force attacking a neutral realm. Strategos Lionel Kinsey of Greater Xavax attempted to assure the other commanders that this Rabble was not acting under his direction, which was met with increasing scepticism among the other Generals given the belligerence of Greater Xavax in recent months and the fact the Rabble marched under that realm’s banners.
Meanwhile, the hunted Adventurer Tobin pressed onwards (through the realm of Vix_Tiramora) to the plains of Moyale and the Bursa Mountains and into the dark woods of Meuse with the Rabble in continuous pursuit, their murderous intent causing them to attack any who were caught in their path. Subsequently, the Lord Vixir of Vix Tiramora, Jeames Dacara, Executor Cloud Strika and Lord Brandon and Sirs Talon and Grathe were attacked and also scattered as they mustered a defence of the region, which is recorded here.
With the allied realms of Caligus and Vix Tiramora attacked, and the Rabble moving ever closer to Perdanese territory, the Tiramorans and Perdanese leaders endeavoured to combine what forces they could and confront the Rabble Army in the field, both to safeguard the newly liberated city of Perdan itself and to defend the authority of the Nobility of the East Continent in the face of this massive force of marauding peasantry. It was decided to make a stand in Brive, where Tobin was heading, although the two realms could only mobilise 1500 men to contend with the estimated 15,000 at a ratio of 10-to-1 (but an effective 20-to-1 ratio on the front melee line).
Despite the odds, Imperator William De Braose of the Kingdom of Perdan sallied forth his Army, the Perdan’s Golden Lions from Perdan City to Brive in an attempt to drive the Rabble away from Perdan’s lands and aid in Vix Tiramora’s defence. The Battle, which at a combined total of 16,339 men is thought to be one of the largest fought in East Continent History, is recorded here. Although the allied forces were driven from the field by the Rabble’s sheer numbers (accounts of which can be found here) the Noble Armies remained largely intact, suffering few losses in the Infantry melee due to the peasant's inferior weaponry however the Archers valiantly defending barricades and field defences took massive casualties from the Rabble’s missiles. Vix Tiramora ordered a retreat to Partora to defend their City meanwhile Perdan's knights rallied themselves for a second engagement at the next dawn. Continuing to defend the road to Perdan City the Perdanese were able to slay another 900 of the Rabble but were once more compelled to withdraw from the field, and with many of their knights captured and taken south to Xavax as prisoners the remaining forces moved out to defend their city directly.

Miraculous Light and Angry Mob
Message to everyone in the vicinity of Isadril
After Tobin assembled the stones, the beam of light had shone into the sky for a day or two as the ring of portal stones shimmered and gleaned. The longer the beam shone, the brighter the rocks glowed until at last the rocks were all shining orbs of whiteness and the beam of light had disappeared. Spinning and rising into the air until they were 100 yards above the ground, the ring of glowing-white stones continued to spin and illuminate the ground below in a divinely-white light.
Everywhere Isadril's people quit work, education, and festivities at once and eagerly sprint or skip to gather under the miraculous light. Arrival only heightens their visible excitability and good cheer. Rumours are already spreading through the crowd of miraculous healings when the circle of light suddenly flickers, sending a panic throughout the crowd, and then goes dark, disappearing. The crowd is furious and after a short turmoil begins hunting down the trail of Tobin in a murderous rage.
