Treachery and Injustice in the Southern Republic

A grave war crime was committed today in the Republic of Fwuvoghor. While Fronen and Fwuvoghor have not been on good terms since the death of Fwuvoghoran Prime Minister Dirrik Hobbs, we have atleast been fair with eachother. Now under the relatively new Prime Minister/ Grand Justiciar Beowulf, Fwuvoghor law is becoming brutal. It is believed that little Count Beowulf of Ieara has some personal bitterness as a result of many failed election attempts in Fronen. A few days ago, Finance Minister Apothes entered the city of Fwuvoghor for some peaceful trading. After making a few purchases he was apprehended by Fwuvoghoran guards. I, as Grand Justiciar sent multiple messages to Count Beowulf attempting to establish some mutual guidelines for prisoner treatment. Not only did the bitter little Count ignore them, he flat out tortured Minister Apothes. For those who do not know, the Codes of Fwuvoghor detail Fwuvoghoran law. It is based around the concept of lex talionis, the law of equals. Under their own law, equal suffering is the punishment for one who causes suffering. Minister Apothes is a peaceful trader, no suffering was caused. Beowulf has broken Fwovoghor's social contract and has provoked Fronenian ire.

Let the world know that Fronen is no stranger to lex talionis. Beowulf my count, the honor has been taken out of our war. The attack on Minister Apothes will be avenged.

Positive News

The valiant armies of Fronen now are almost ready for the proposed march southward. Three sluggish troop leaders (whose name's I shall politely not mention) are just heading out of Fronepu now. When they reach Stempleto the Main Army and Fronen's Lightning together will be over 19000 CS. More than enough to crush the 14000 CS that defends the city of Fwuvoghor. We also have a number of quality siege engines poised to break the dirt mounds the Fwuvoghorans call fortifications. Looking at things, it should take us three days to reach the city of Fwuvoghor and the realm should be subjugated in seven to ten days. Military analysts here in Fronen think this will be a quick, pleasurable war.

In other news the leader of the Republic of Fwuvoghor (a former Fronenian Count of Ieara I might add) is looking for a personal infiltrator to be his bodyguard. He has actually been asking Fronenian troopleaders to serve in this role. One Fronenian commented in the House of Lords saying this.

"Beowulf is desperate (or slow) enough to offer me the job when I replied to him, even though I'm clearly no infiltrator. Thought the information might at least amuse this body."

Why Beowulf even needs a foreigner to be his lackey is beyond me. Perhaps we should offer him one of our troop leaders who actually IS an experienced infiltrator. That would make the man an easy target. This personal quest of Beowulf's added to the leader of the Irombrozian rebels' positive outlook on the state of Irombro, shows just how incredibly foolish Fronen's enemies are.

A Republic Trembles, A Republic Stands Tall

The Republic of Fronen as you all know has come out of a rebellion a more united nation. Now strength of arms joins our strength of will. As of yesterday, Fronen's military is again the most powerful military force in all Beluaterra. Furthermore, Fronen's new ally, Avalon is a very close second in terms of military might. Today in honor of that new power. Parades were held all over the realm. Eager, proud soldiers fully adorned in the highest quality armor marched through the streets. The peasants could not help but shout praises in honor of their gallant defenders. Also for the pleasure of the commoners were free shows of Fronen's new sige equipant. A new brand of armored trebuchet and its operated sent firey projectiles flying father and faster than ever before, destroying an abandoned outpost. The Republic of Fronen is currently quite strong.

Another Republic we all know of to the south is not faring so well. Just today in the Republic of Fwuvoghor, the Fwuvoghoran Defense Minister Retravic said:

" Fronen is preparing for war as we speak, and rallying in Stempato. I want scout reports of all regions sharing a border with us every turn, and I want EVERYONE in Fwuvoghor."

The Fwuvoghorans, are struggling to improve their military quality, but to no avail. Their military strength has remained stagnant according to statistics. Furthermore, they cower behind the mounds of clay they call walls hoping they can live through the coming Fronenian onslught. Fronen's military might is more than double their military strength. The Republic of Fwuvoghor has no chance at victory in a war with Fronen and its allies, yet their government continues its Closed Borders policy. I think every sane man realizes Fwuvoghor would be better off on its old policy of honoring its alliances rather than changing sides with the wind. However, until the Fwuvoghoran government becomes a bit less stubborn, or Fronen comes in and takes over their is little chance for improvement.

Fronen stands tall, Fwuvoghor will (in all likelihood) fall.
