Heretics and Friends

The Church of Qyrvagg has encountered many non-believers in its history. Among them, a few important ones are here listed.

The Church no longer keeps active public record of our close friends and allies or heretics, the apostate, and enemies. This list is primarily useful for historical purposes.

The Apostate

  • The Apostate could be described as specific people who have been shown the truth of Qyrvagg, denied it, and taken direct action against Qyrvaggism for reasons other than religious ones. Religious reasons are merely to be part of the line of duty. But government persecution, betrayal, etc, would qualify as Apostate behavior.
  • Lady Gheros, Pontifex of Sartania- Leading a realm in 1. Persecuting the Church of Qyrvagg severely, deporting all known members and threatening with death. 2. Encouraging assassination attempts against Hireshmont. 3. Blaspheming the name of Qyrvagg.
    • To do penance, Lady Gheros will have to step down as Pontifex, and serve loyally under a Qyrvaggian-type government for 4 months. Also, she must give 1/10 of all earnings to Qyrvagg-supportive causes, if not the Church itself. This is decreed by Qyrvagg, as spoken by Amekal, the Third Prophet of Qyrvagg.
      • Interestingly enough, it seems Qyrvagg is punishing Gheros with extreme internal turmoil in Sartania. She has been deposed, and Sito now holds her position.
      • Gheros has now served about 1 1/2 months, about 40 days. FOur months and the big part of her penance will be up.
  • Kokomaro, King of Valentia- Leading a realm in 1. Threatening death to all Qyrvaggians in Valentia, 2. Framing us to make it look like we were planning a rebellion
  • Billy, Knight of Valentia- Passing information to Kokomaro in such a way that it seemed like we were rebels, andspying on us, after pretending to be a rebel himself.
  • Any Luz de Bians who make attempt to ban or persecute Qyrvaggism.
    • In specific, Harim, Former Count of Ardmore, Former Minister of Defense, for sacking the Temple in Ardmore, and Rah, Former Minister of Defence, Gilmaeglin, Duke of Eno, and Nhoc, the ruler.
      • Harim lies dead on the fields of Bolkenia. The battle was a regretable accident caused by one unruly unit. Harim's death is mourned, because he proved himself honorable in the end. He died valiantly, as a hero. There is some debate as to the fate of his soul. Some say QYrvagg smote him down in vengeance for sacking the Temple in Ardmore, others say Qyrvagg drew him up to his Paradisal City, for he died a warriors death. Whatever the case, Harim is dead.
      • Rah himself has stepped down from all governmental positions in Luz de Bia, and joined the faith as a full member. In fact, he has gone so far as to pledge his life to that of a priest. He is officially FORGIVEN of all his crimes, and has left the ranks of the Apostate.
  • Hireshmont Vellos. He once believed, and was a Prophet, but has denied the faith.
  • Elaine Driscol. She also once believed, but abused her authority as an arch priest, became a loose cannon, used Qyrvaggism as a means to reach an end, and eventually was demoted, then left in anger.

The Kanunim

  • Kanunim roughly means, "those of the Dragon". It refers to those who, though they may not actually be part of the Church of Qyrvagg, are regarded as friends, allies, and who we believe will be with us in Qyrvagg's Paradisal City after death.
  • Any and all Vikings
    • For being what you are, war-loving norsemen!
  • Sparticus the Just, Haruspex Maximus of Sartania
    • For treating Hireshmont with the utmost dignity and respect, and support in need, even in the face of extreme adversity
  • White Assassin. Unfortunately, White Assasin to this day denies any connection with the True Sartanians and Church of Qyrvagg, even though all of his knights were in that party, and two were in the Church....
    • For inspiring his knights to live the life the God of War and Battle would want them to live
  • Billy and his family. He is both friend and foe. He is a traitor, he was trusted.
    • For providing vital communications and logistics support in times of need
  • Delvin, Ruler of Riombara.
    • For providing an open and welcoming home to the Church of Qyrvagg. Unfortunately, it wasnt long until Delvin began to show disfavor on Qyrvaggism and become an opponent of it. All the same, he was once a true friend.
  • Donald, Ruler of Fronen, and Grim-Reaper, Ruler of Avalon
    • For providing safe passage through their lands in the Exodus from Valentia.
  • Enzeru, Judge of Fronen
    • For being supportive, and providing friendship from afar.
  • The Path of the Great Dragon
    • The Church views that PotGD as a variant religion, thus there are definately Kanunim.
  • These are Chronicled by all Prophets and Masters of the Holy Hosts of the past and present.
