August 30, 2006 - New Lord and High Marshal Following the election of King Orphen, further changes in the upper echelons of the Greater Aenilian leadership occurred as the long time, and founding High Marshal of Greater Aenilia, Lord Zelos stepped down due to an ailment which inhibited his abilities to lead our armies. In his place, the long-serving Igna was appointed to the post of High Marshal, while Lord Zelos, in recognition of his service was rewarded with the title of Duke of Idapur. Furthermore, in an effort to greater appreciate the overall will of the Nobles, an honourary title of Lord was bestowed upon Xahtorb, who was admitted a seat in the House of Lords. The Aenilian congratulates them on their appointments, and wishes them luck in their future endeavours. Svunnetlandian infiltrators nabbed! In a recent speight of attacks, and subsequent arrests and captures, two experienced and infamous infiltrators of Svunnetland have been thrown into the dungeons of Idapur for their actions against the Crown. These infiltrators, Serko, a renowned and deadly agent of chaos whose actions in Ethiala have spoken volumes of his lack of character and honour, as well as Lobo, a former Taith Aenilian and would-be assassin of the former King Luyten, Lady Dawn of Erahol, and Noble Calok, will be charged with offences against the realm. However, unlike Serko whose actions are only a first offence, Lobo will be banned for his actions against Aenilia and her royalty. Let us hope that they have learnt their lesson and will remain far from the holy city and lands of Greater Aenilia in the future. War and Peace, scandal and reconciliation Greater Aenilia has undergone its first major shift in leadership, and with it has come peace with many realms that were once at odds with the true mark of the Aenil. In the days following the sudden (and ultimately fortunate) death of King Caerid, and the immediate election of King Orphen there has been much discussion in and out of the House of Lords, as well as much mobilisation of Greater Aenilia's military forces. It has been discovered only recently of many plots and underhanded dealings in which Caerid had been aware of, or involved in, and this, coupled with his final madness have led to many unfortunate misunderstandings and insults which have almost led to what would have been inevitably, Greater Aenilia's destruction. News reached the House of Lords, of Caerid's threats to King Gul'Dan of Nighthelm concerning his relative who was imprisoned in Greater Aenilian jails prior to the Reformation. This unprecendented stupidity in Greater Aenilia has already been rectified and apologised for due to it's heinous nature, and the House's lack of knowledge concerning Caerid's true dealings with the Far East. Most importantly though has been the reconciliation of Greater Aenilia with many of the southern realms who Caerid alienated. Namely an old friend in Nighthelm, Soliferum and the Sanctum of Casshern. Unfortunately however, it seems that Svunnetland, despite the lack of support from her allies has decided to continue the war with Greater Aenilia and, along with its federated partner the Principality has demanded the region of Erahol in payment for Aenilia's acts. Orphen and the House of course refused and thus it seems, a fairly evenly matched contest lies ahead, and many will fall... August 26, 2006 - New King in Aenilia Shocking turn of events in Greater Aenilia have led to a complete turnaround in the leadership of the realm and a total re-evaluation of the situation in which our dearly departed former King Caerid has left us. August 25, 2006 - Wars in the South In the last few days the Far East has seen more war than in the last few months, what with the successful invasion and takeover of Ansopen, the storming of Colosan city, the battle in Pates and the Aenilian occupation of Anrimap. August 22, 2006 - The End of Miraglonn? Miraglonn, a realm formed in the Lasanarian founding city of Colosan, has been under repeated assault from its former rulers since its controversial unauthorised secession just over 2 weeks ago. With the unfortunate death of Maltheo and the election of a new Prime Minister of the League of Anacan, the Aenilian has to wonder whether the war should not be over. Well, sources were correct and it seems that at dawn today Maltheo, Prime Minister of the League of Anacan and Valius, King of the Sanctum of Casshern met in the contested region of Ansopen and duelled to the death.
