Template:DDTicker

General

This template is used by the Dwilight Daily to post newsticker style reports of events.

Usage

• date: Written as January 11, 2007. You can use the following substitution variables: {{subst:CURRENTMONTHNAME}} {{subst:CURRENTDAY}}, {{subst:CURRENTYEAR}}
• type: The type of news ticker story. Valid values are:
  • general - (default, if no color specified) signifies a general information item. (Guild formation, etc?)
  • war - announce declarations of war
  • alliance - announce the signing of an alliance
  • ruler - announce the election of a new ruler
• realm1: The name of the first realm involved in the event. i.e. the realm declaring the war. This determines the realm icon used for the story. Capitalization is important. Use the same name as you would if linking to the realm's wiki page. If you omit this parameter, or use the word blank, then no icon will be used in the top location.
• realm2: The name of the second realm involved in the event. i.e. the realm on which the war is declared. This determines the second realm icon used for the story. If no second realm is involved, then omit this parameter or use the word blank and no icon will be used in the bottom location. Capitalization is important. Use the same name as you would if linking to the realm's wiki page.
• title - The title for the article. If the title is not supplied, a default title for the type specified will be used in its place.
• article: The body of the article. Keep it short and to the point. If you have a long essay, then write a full news story.
