(OOC: I'm going to try and create a journal of events of the new Invasion, as I loved the Journals of Marc Keithson. I'm not sure if it will work out, as the last attempt miserably failed. As this is a personal journal, this page is to be considered strictly OOC Information to everyone, especially while I'm still experimenting and trying to see if I can get this working)

May 23

After a few days of sailing, I finally arrived in Beluaterra. I followed but a few rumours that Monsters and Undead would invade these lands. I didn't want to wait till it was confirmed, as no boat would probably be brave enough to come here. I joined the Realm of Riombara as my cousin spoke well of the Riombarans. I will have to get used to this open system though. From what I've read from my cousin, Nobility votes on everything here. I say we have a Government for a reason, but I'll see how things go.

I received a warm welcome from various Nobles rather quickly. My fear of an Invasion was also quickly confirmed. It seems I have not come a day too late. I've already become a Knight of Rueffilo, as the region is in bad shape and needs aid. The offer was quite generous. The Duke of Rines, Kammar d'Serrai, contacted me in private, enjoyed to see the Telrunya Family returning. It seems my cousin has served this Realm well. I'm pleased. This should make things easier for me too.

I'm travelling to Rueffilo to ensure my new Estate is aiding the region properly. My Liege, Marquis Evander Geronus, is working hard to stabilize it. He said something about the previous Lord causing much of the current problems. I do not have an unit yet, but this is the least I can do for him.

There are talks going on about a ceasefire with our enemies due the Invasion. Those Nobles will need to vote in favour of that before any War is ended. If the Government would just do those duties, we wouldn't have this trouble in the first place. It's alarming to see how many Nobles are reluctant to accept it. The High Chancellor, Delvin Anaris, spoke wise words in favour of Peace though. I might need to hold a speech too. Since I'm just new, I don't want to involve myself just yet, but we need to unite against those creatures. I don't like speeches any way. Just let me be busy with battles.

The Nobles here seem to have been swayed a little and have asked clarification on a few things, which doesn't seem like a problem. There was no need for me to speak up luckily. I had a rather uneventful trip to Rueffilo, but my Estate is now set. The Region is looking better already. All that's left is for the local government here to regain control.

Elections for High Treasurer have started after the Council apparently loosened the rules a bit to allow Lords to run. In my eyes, Lords are those who have proven their loyalty and worth to the Realm and have been rewarded for their hard work. Excellent candidates for a Government Position I say. Why wasn't this done earlier?

In the meantime news has reached us that the Daimons are spreading their influence in the North. It seems there have been no direct conflicts yet, but let it be a warning that there is no time to waste.

May 27

Ajitmon has been returned to us after one of our Priests rallied the peasants! It was all in cooperation with the Council apparently. Also, the ceasefire with Enweil has been signed! Apparently the Bureaucrats here wouldn't bother sending me the Referendum, but I'm glad the right choice was made. It's a good day for sure!

May 28

The Monsters have declared war on our Allies, Dominion of Alluran! At the same time scout reports showing hundreds, nay, thousands of those beasts in Jidington! The City and several more Regions up North are now under 'control' of those Monsters. Several of them are moving to Ellonoraal as speak!

On the other hand, three candidates stepped forward for the position of High Treasurer. Viscount Hireshmont Vellos of Cjelegy spoke of his experience and accomplishments. Some were concerned about his duties as a Priest, but I don't see a problem there. The Duke of Athol Margos Ercole D`Este stated he wanted a rest from his military career and focus on the duties of High Treasurer instead. Knight Borin Athins of Athol Margos also wants to become High Treasurer because he apparently doesn't receive enough Taxes to recruit a sizeable unit. The choice is clear. My vote has been cast for the Viscount.

The Monsters are taking over Ellonoraal. They appear to be looking for something to fight the Daimons. They are still taking Human Lands though! They have divided their forces and we should be able to handle them if we manage to gather our forces. Our Army is still silent except for the announcement of a new Vice-Marshal: Duke Ercole D`Este. I can't say much about it. The Monsters have also declared War on Enweil now. It's good we have that ceasefire after all. Now we can combine our forces to take care of those beasts.

I've recruited a few men and I'm sitting in the Capital. Our Nobles are still spread over our lands. Not much is happening here.

May 30

Enweil betrayed us! In exchange for a few regions, they have used the Monsters to send them South towards us, telling them we are evil! How dare they betray Humanity like that! After all that work to get a ceasefire! May our Chancellor soon spread the news of this Betrayal to the other Realms. Enweil is taking advantage and continues to fight Humans in these dark times using filthy tricks and lies! The Great Chamberlain Mordred Lefanis shared his conversations with the Monsters leaving no doubt of this.

Viscount Hireshmont Vellos has become our new High Treasurer. We not need to worry about our Food situation now. Our Armies have been restructured, but apparently without the consent of one of our Marshals, the Duke of Rines. Duke Kammar d'Serrai of Rines was rather upset about that, even slightly hinting towards foul play. I can understand his concerns, but why is the restructuring of our Armies given more response then Enweil's Betrayal and the invading Monsters? I'm growing impatient here in Grehk, waiting for us to finally move.
