Losers?

Ah, good catch on the "losers => players" goof, although on some days after I've been playing this game obsessively for over an hour out of the day, I wonder if the former doesn't have some truth to it. :) -Baatarsaikhan 08:47, 7 November 2008 (CET)

I don't think this is wise; nor would i recommend it. In the long run it will kill BM.

The type of users imo that use those sites are bored and just looking for something new/quick to play and would often not stay long ingame.. (lack of features (for new knights) and not very graphical compared to the hundreds of other choises) (also, them things are often rigged - who control's the db? a monthly bribe goes a long way.. Also, many people use 'auto-clickers' - a small program to auto-submit etc.)

From a BM-player perspective, its no fun to start building a 'relationship'? with some new knight in the game (eg. if a lord) only to see him wander of a week later without notice. It makes you stop communication with new players completely. BM is more fun with people staying in the game that can remember realms's histories and such.

Very valid, but I do not know personally where else BM is going to advertise without Tom doing it himself? I can't remember how I stumbled on BM (it was completely by accident, I know that much) but I do know that it isn't really the easiest thing to find... perhaps word of mouth would work best. --Aerywyn 16:34, 10 November 2008 (CET)
If a game is good enough, it should get new players on its own - sometimes just through word-of-mouth. (user:web)(not good with this indentation, sorry.)
I have to agree, my first thought was - "Did anyone ask Tom if this was okay with him?" I know this was only meant to be helpful, but it may not fall in with what Tom would like. It's Tom's "product" and he should make the advertising decisions. --Jmadsen 01:45, 11 November 2008 (CET)
If you advertise, or promote with votes, you can have a flood. Some will stay, some will go, but will be a hard time to the players already in game. I believe Tom need to say what he want, so we can think on how to get it done. --Miriamics 22:06, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
