You say that Karibash was fantasizing about killing Taselak nobles... unless Lynsey can read minds, that should be there. That was part of an RP, where he was living out a moment in his head... it wasn't speech. Please be more careful about that in the future. George the Hippy 02:54, 21 April 2007 (CEST)

Was it in Karibash's mind or a roleplay between players that everyone could actually see? I thought it actually happened (which is what I assume you meant when you engaged in roleplay instead of stating "Karibash dreams...."). If you're not actually doing something, it would be helpful to others if you stated that you were simply dreaming. Otherwise we're into a "lost season", like when J.R. Ewing got shot, when you state afterwards that it only happened in his head.
Lynsey does not need to read minds to know that Karibash fantasizes about killing Taselakian nobles. Karibash has stated his desire to do so on many occasions before. --OOC Habap 16:58, 21 April 2007 (CEST)
Roleplay from Karibash
Message sent to everyone in the region Neralle (104 recipients)
Karibash takes the kadashi and rips through Kurohyou, throwing him to the ground. Karibash smirks as he crushes Kurohyou's skull beneath his shoe.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Karibash's imagination runs wild, and in this split second of bliss, Kurohyou jumps behind Karibash, dagger about to strike
HYYYAAAAAA-
Karibash donkey kicks Kurohyou in the stomach. Bent over, Kurohyou groans. Karibash throws away the dagger and punches Kurohyou in the face.
You prick.

Karibash (Lord
As you can see, there was a distinction between the dream sequence, and the actual action. Everyone knows everyone on the island but Taselak wants to kill Tassies... what makes Karibash different? George the Hippy 18:00, 21 April 2007 (CEST)
I'd have to defer to others as to whether there is any distinction for them, but it is not at all clear to me that you only dreamed of the dagger strike - after all, Karibash was in the midst of a "real" fight. When I've fought, I've never taken a moment to dream about a completely different fight.
Quite frankly, I found the whole "fight" to be childish posturing rather than good roleplay, but would expect little else from someone who makes his characters about seven feet tall and names the family "The Great". --OOC Habap 18:34, 21 April 2007 (CEST)
Quite frankly, I've found you to make all of your characters chauvinistic pigs. Incapable of not insulting people in speech, incapable of showing any respect to anyone not in their realm. The fight? I didn't start it. So what if they're about seven feet tall? That's only two of my characters. I tend to play different people. I usually find fault and humour with the height, it's a roleplaying device. Xanio has great difficulty in the joust at tournaments, I roleplay that as he can rarely find a horse big enough for him. He has hit his head on low doorframes countless times. What about the countless 6'6" white men with blonde hair and blue eyes? You play the same, stale characters. All the same. All are extensions of the player behind them. All of mine are different. The "childish posturing" is Karibash. That's how he is. Brutal, savage, unrelenting. They're "the Great" family. So? If you actually took the time to look at my characters, you'd know they are actually the "Habs". The Great was put there because of a misunderstanding while Xanio applied for the Ithilian military.
You've never taken a moment to dream during a fight? Why not? It was an insight into the savage mind of Karibash. There is even more depth to him, that I cannot divulge right now. You need to learn, that we can be more than Tom Cruise. George the Hippy 18:58, 21 April 2007 (CEST)
Taking time to imagine something that isn't happening while you're fighting would strike me as rather unwise. I would not expect anyone who is a savage, vicious and successful warrior to engage in fantasy while fighting, but you play Karibash, so that's up to you. I assumed, quite incorrectly, that everything was supposedly happening.
You are correct, I don't do any significant roleplaying, but only Lynsey and Dabug are devoted to their realms. They have only responded in kind to cruelty and meanness. They simply find anyone who is a loud-mouthed braggart, as Karibash and Vatticus are, unacceptable. You will find that Zal even adventures with Vi (played by Brian Main, who plays Vatticus). See The 10 Den for a glimpse.
I've never encountered any of your other characters so cannot evaluate those, but Karibash certainly does come off as brutal, savage and unrelenting. Well-done. If there is more to him, good for you.
Based on the opinions expressed in Taselak by long-time Taselakians and former Toren, I would label Lynsey's expressed opinion of Karibash as either mild or mainstream. His mouth exceeds his abilities so often that it seems that none who have fought against him and some who have fought with him have little respect for him at all. --Habap 02:00, 23 April 2007 (CEST)
Well then my job with Karibash is done. He has been shown for what he is. A bit childish and vicious savage. As I said before, he has depth to him that hasn't been shown, which would explain why he would be dreaming in the middle of a fight. George the Hippy 02:57, 23 April 2007 (CEST)

Rebellion

It is a pity the rebellion code was broken when Sera launched Toren's first rebellion. Toren would have become a proper tyranny long ago ;-) --Revan 15:34, 16 April 2007 (CEST)
