Talk:Religion Pages

This seems like it should be merged into the Religion page itself perhaps as a subpage, but there is already a listing there. Additionally, I fail to understand the use of the various templates which serve only to make it much harder to update the lists. -- User:Loren 02:15, 6 December 2006 (CET)

In-Game / Out-of-Game

A lot of these religions supposedly in the stable islands have yet to be introduced into the game. The links lead to either proposed faiths for anyone to start or ones planned to be introduced by their authors at some point in the future. Perhaps some notation should be made as to which religions are actually live and In-Game - or more to the point, which ones aren't. -- Murakama 21:11, 14 December 2006 (CET)

Only the Atamara part isn't "clean". -- Gsklee 13:51, 15 December 2006 (CET)

Actually, Colonies isn't clean either. Only one of the five listed religions is active... which is why I raised the question originally. -- Murakama 16:01, 15 December 2006 (CET)

Category

You should use the Category:Religion page instead, I'd say. Because why list pages manually when you have perfectly ok code that does it automatically? --Tom 17:48, 17 December 2006 (CET)

I am not sure about this one. Category:Religion contains many unofficial religious orders within, some of them have good RPs, but their orders do not have physical existences inside the game. This page however, is directly linked from the Community Portal, and people, usually new players, visit the Community Portal to see what realms they could expect to join in the game, what guilds they could expect to join in the game, and what religions they could expect to join in the game. So this page is better composed of a list of religious orders that a character can physically join inside the game. Just like Realm Pages and Guild Pages. -- Gsklee 16:05, 18 December 2006 (CET)
I ran across this discussion while working on updating the religions on a coupe islands. It got me thinking that perhaps we should have religions listed using templates, like the Realm Pages does. It could then be listed on the island page, as well as a Religion Page section. With more exposure, it would be more likely to be kept up to date. The Realm Pages is kept very up-to-date. --Indirik 20:43, 20 August 2008 (CEST)
It's an interesting idea... Also makes the religions feel more important on the continent, which is a good thing, in my own honest (biased) opinion. -Chénier 02:33, 23 August 2008 (CEST)

Past Religions?

Is this for all religions that were, or only those that currently are on the continents? -Chénier 17:19, 20 August 2008 (CEST)

Why not all of them? Add a (Defunct) or similar tag to the names of religions that no longer exist. We have a Lost Realms Category, maybe we could add a Lost Religions category, too. Is there even a Religions category?--Indirik 17:54, 20 August 2008 (CEST)
There is a religion category. I must say, though, a lot of these defunct religions have neither content nor impact. -Chénier 02:27, 23 August 2008 (CEST)
I agree. Still, the fact that they are listed kind of gives a good idea of how hard it can be to keep one alive. It takes a lot more than one dedicated noble to make a successful religion. --Indirik 03:00, 23 August 2008 (CEST)

FEI Religions

I'm pretty sure that many of these religions must be out of date by now, but I can't tell if there isn't say a single temple to each religion or whatnot. Should start a cleanup soon. --Aerywyn 03:08, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

It's easy to tell if a religion exists or not. Just go to a temple of which you are a member and view its stance on other religions. You'll get a complete listing. My FEI character is not yet a member of a religion, so I can't do it myself. --Indirik 04:08, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
Ah, should have realised... well then. --Aerywyn 04:43, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
