Something's broken on this page ... right at the top of the page we see "< Perdan" ... is that part of the template or something?

It is because the page is a subpage. All subpages automatically have a link at the top of them that will take you back to the 'mother' page. So don't worry, it's perfectly normal behaviour :-) - Revan
