Talk:Beluaterra/Third Invasion

Apparently the Ancient Sabre of Daemonslaying was created by a sage, so I don't know how the Necromancer can claim that it at least was stolen from him. --Jeffw 05:10, 5 June 2007 (CEST)

There is an artifact of the same name on Belluaterra that wasn't made by a sage. At least, I think so.AlexTurner

=======The Ground Rumbles, and Dark Clouds loom Overhead...as a Shadowy Darkness engulfs the outskirts of the region=======

I am Hannibal, Messenger of the Undead. I come to seek your aid in what may soon come to be. We are on a peaceful--for the most part--mission to find and secure relics taken from our Lords by Humans. Please, tell your masters, friends and family of our intentions.

Help us, and live...do nothing, or worse, stand against us--and die.

I will be moving further North, please vacate troops from my path.

Hannibal --Bannable 04:36, 6 June 2007 (CEST)

Bringers of doom?

Has anyone attempted to stab them? -Chénier 04:57, 6 June 2007 (CEST)

Yes, as far as I know an Alluran infiltrator successfully wounded Jezabel in or around Brovyl (unconfirmed). Which did not prevent her from raising a undead band in Bolkenia from where she marched towards her doom in Ardmore. TanSerrai 10:33, 6 June 2007 (CEST)
Are you sure? as far as I know, the only Alluran infiltrator lies in a dungeon, we defeated Jezabel in Brovyl and soon after he disappeared after cursing us. I may be wrong but ALluran has not wounded Jezabel Astinus 11:09, 6 June 2007 (CEST)
No infiltrator from Alluran attacked Jezabel. She attacked the fortifications in Brovyl and was defeated. Following the battle she delivered a warning against attacking their messengers, then sank into the ground. She apparently reappeared in Bolkenia. --Indirik 12:54, 6 June 2007 (CEST)
I tried in Nuzanki, but I couldn't, becausse game mechanics prevent me from attacking new characters. -Chénier 17:56, 6 June 2007 (CEST)

Ah, I just stabbed Hulgord of the Monster Swarm. Got caught though... You owe me a debt Beluaterra! ;) -Chénier 18:40, 8 June 2007 (CEST)

Unique items

Same demands

Noticed how the Monsters and the Undead want the same items? No, no, think about it. We've got undead and we've got monsters. So follow my reasoning.

  • We don't give either of them the artifacts: They come after us.
  • We give one of them the artifacts: The other one comes after us for giving away the item they also wanted.

So it's foolproof. Invasion in either case. Foreign Curs 20:30, 5 June 2007 (CEST)

So basically we have a choice now: do we give the items to the undead and cause a monster invasion, do we give them to the undead and cause a monster invasion, or do we keep them and get both invasions on Beluaterra... Van Peteghem 21:30, 5 June 2007 (CEST)
The monsters want a unique item, the undead want five. That's as far as I've heard from what they want. The undead also want the adventurers in and around Riombara to run around like lunatic and tear off their hairs yelling that an undead invasion will come over Beluaterra if they don't get their unique items, but that's not really important. Van Peteghem 23:12, 5 June 2007 (CEST)

Update: The mosters want two items now. And yes, it is yet again an item the undead also want. Foreign Curs 19:31, 6 June 2007 (CEST)

Undead will fight Monsters over items?

Or maybe they will both come just to attack each other. Like in an undead-monster-war. Where entire Beluaterra is their battlefield. As the undead have more or less stated, they hate monsters. Foreign Curs 19:31, 6 June 2007 (CEST)

I did not infer that the undead hate the monsters, just that if the humans are blood thirsty, perhaps they should kill monsters instead. Sounds more like an offer of truce for the living. Out in Atamara I have witnessed several first hand accounts of monstesrs and the undead working together, destroying different things. Usually the monsters kill villagers, and the undead damage production as they send people fleeing as they do whatever it is they do. People always get killed, however, and they undead tend to fight right alongside the monsters to wipe out Human troops.
there must be more information that just this. the monsters appeared in oepiud after my adv had been there for a while and out blasted a message that essentially had no beginning. perhaps the monsters made some demands elsewhere that's a bit more coherent than that? --Fodder 22:39, 5 June 2007 (CEST)
"By all means, kill the Monsters...they taint the blood of warriors, and make them unfit for transition...but never take from the undead." Quoted from one of the Undead warlords. They do hate the monsters.
I think you're still missing the point of "What happens IF we manage to get either party the items, cos i don't think they'll want to sit down and have tea...--Crazylozda 20:58, 6 June 2007 (CEST)
Give the undead what the monsters want, and the monsters what the undead want. Keep one of the undead's for leverage to make sure they both don't just trade for what they need. Hide that item in Sint. That's if you want to minimise losses... I'd just give them both what they want and have a crapload of realms destroyed. ;) -Chénier 04:17, 7 June 2007 (CEST)
I think you missed the fact that they want the same things. --The1exile 10:21, 7 June 2007 (CEST)
The monsters want less than the undead, no? Well give them what the undead want and they don't, and give the undead what the monsters want... -Chénier 14:20, 7 June 2007 (CEST)
Actually the monsters keep asking for more. I think it likely that they will seek the same items ultimately, putting the island between a rock and a hard place. --The1exile 17:21, 7 June 2007 (CEST)
How about we dont give them anything? Or just give them one thing that both of them want then they can fight themselves for it? ScottSabin 18:31, 7 June 2007 (CEST)
Or give it all but one, and make sure that none have everything they want. -Chénier 18:37, 7 June 2007 (CEST)
Giving them anything at all is a bad idea. Each item puts them one item closer to what they want. They think their clever words will make their invasion easier; I say that we do not make it easier for them. If they want the items, let them come and claim them! AlexTurner 23:16, 7 June 2007 (CEST)

IC I wouldn't want them to have it. OOC I want them to raze Beluaterra to the ground... So do as you wish. ;) -Chénier 05:32, 8 June 2007 (CEST)

New format?

If we want to keep a message log, we are going to have to do things a little differently, this could get cluttered up quite quickly. Anyhow, here's a few messages from the monster dude. If some of the things they say don't make sense, it might be because I sent a few messages in between, calling him a lepreachaun and such. -Chénier 05:36, 8 June 2007 (CEST)

Letter from Kri'fahj (1 day, 10 hours ago) Message sent to everyone in the region Luhgrethen (4 recipients) Avalon. That is where the little man said, so that is where we head to look for it. If he has lied then suffering will be brought back here, if not then perhaps we can go home again.

Letter from Vicky (1 day, 10 hours ago) Message sent to everyone in the region Luhgrethen (4 recipients) Hello Kri'Fahj

I have heard news of the monster swarms of the North, so I came up here to see it with my own eyes. The last few days have been painful for me, I have lost my oldest brother Vorax to the undead Necromancer Dominus. Perhaps a friend of yours?

I do not understand why you have claimed his life. He did not posses the artifacts you are looking for, and neither do I. His only intention was to defend his realm and pursue it's enemies. Now his life ended for affairs that did not even concern him.

You have filled my heart with pain and grief and if there is any way I can avenge his death I will do so. Perhaps it will also be my own demise, but I have nothing to lose, and you have nothing to gain from me.

Letter from Kri'fahj (1 day, 10 hours ago) Message sent to everyone in the region Luhgrethen (4 recipients) Watch were you lay blame. I have been here and have had seemingly successful talks with one of the scruffy humans here. I know nothing of this necromancer of which you talk, nor of your brother. Surely it's a good thing he died in battle. Better that than withering away in old age. You have no vengeance to take upon me, though perhaps you can offer me assistance. I have been told that the item I seek, the Legendary Plate Mail of Strength, is in Avalon. Although that gives some direction to head, it doesn't say where exactly it may be hidden, or perhaps who even carries it. I wish for my task to be over quickly as I have other things to do. Assist me if you wish, but do not get in my way, for there is suffering beyond what you can imagine.

Letter from Kri'fahj (1 day, 10 hours ago) Message sent to everyone in the region Luhgrethen (4 recipients) What do you talk of? DO you have more information for me?

Letter from Vicky (1 day, 10 hours ago) Message sent to everyone in the region Luhgrethen (4 recipients) Then I was wrong in Accusing you Kri'fahj

It seems you are not the only faction that is looking for the Artifacts then. You say you do not know the name of this necromancer?

My brother mentioned undead and necromancers who scrounge the south of the Island also in search of the artifacts.

My fight is with Dominus yes, But also with those who side with him.

I will not assist you until you tell me your purpose. What is it you want with these items, and what will you do once you have them? Why are the Necromancers also looking for them? and what do you think they want with them?

If i can get some clear answers I will aid you.

Yes dying in battle is battle is a greater glory than of old age. But I feel grieve that it was over a matter that did not concern him.

Letter from Vicky (1 day, 10 hours ago) Message sent to everyone in the region Luhgrethen (4 recipients) If siding with Kri'fahj helps me to get to Dominus, or Avenge my brothers death, than my goal is achieved.

Vicky (Freeman) [reply to sender] | [ignore] | [userdetails] | [vulgarity]

Letter from Kri'fahj (1 day, 10 hours ago) Message sent to everyone in the region Luhgrethen (4 recipients) I know nothing of any necromancer or of this undead that you have spoken.

You will aid me if you get answers? Does this mean that you have information which is of use?

As for the item, I have been asked to bring it to my homeland, as others have been sent to find their items, this is the one I was tasked with. What happens with it then I do not know. I do know that we are to use whatever force may be necessary to accomplish our goals, but it is hoped that it will not take too much effort.

whatever that means

Seven undead hordes and leaders have also been spotted on EC. --Indirik 19:59, 11 June 2007 (CEST)
Have our prayers been answered? Will the EC be destroyed!?! ;) -Chénier 20:14, 11 June 2007 (CEST)
There's a even bigger horde of undead (cf the lot in Carelia) in Strahan, CE, Atamara. Waiting to see if anything will happen in the war islands --Fodder 22:41, 11 June 2007 (CEST)
A horde called "Army of Monsters" led by Running was spotted in Falasan, Atamara. Maybe we should move this to the Atamara realm page instead, it doesn't seem appropriate to discuss this in the Beluaterra invasion talk page. --RubyDragon 23:40, 11 June 2007 (CEST)
Atamara/Invasion has been created to keep track of things in Atamara. Further talk about Atamara invasion should go to that page's talk page. House Olik 09:39, 12 June 2007 (CEST)

Undead secure at least 1 item

"Thank you...we have recieved one of our items. We still seek the rest.

Those that help, will be compensated, privately and/or publicly, depending on the circumstances.

Please spread the word that progress is being made. Help us before the tables turn on us all..."

Got this letter. They could be lying, or they may have more. Keep your eyes open.

cleanup

Please seperate the letters and update the structuring so it flows more cleanly. --Tom 13:23, 25 June 2007 (CEST)

The informations should be devided up in subpages, such as Beluaterra/Third Invasion/Undead, Beluaterra/Third Invasion/Monsters, Beluaterra/Third Invasion/Daimons, Beluaterra/Third Invasion/Messages, and Beluaterra/Third Invasion/Events. This would allow to store more content in a better structured way. Also, does the wiki have a template for messages? If it doesn't that would be a very useful tool, especially if the usage looked like this:

{{Message
|Type=
|Sender=
|Recipients=
|Content=
|Title=
}}

Involuntary contradictions

I apologise for any contradictions stated in the Netherworld-issue. They are not intended.

  • 'Invisible' cannot really appear, logically.
  • 'Unspeakable' cannot be mentioned on this page, logically.

I just thought it was funny to point that out.
