Roleplay from Bowie Ironsides

Bowie mused while more fine nobles entered his estate. He watched as introductions were made and chattings shared and he turned to the wait staff to make sure they were keeping up. Some minor nobles from the city and the townsland arrived as well, nobody with names worth remembering, but enough to make a crowd. Minor ladies and minor gentlemen mingled all about.

The Demon recognized both Lord Claude and the Ice King arrive at the same time. Such company he was in tonight! He approached them as they greeted one another and saluted.

"Greetings, noblemen! Welcome to Casino Ironsides! Feel free to eat and drink to your pleasure, and seek out your fill of pleasure amongst the guests. Some names of note have already arrived whom you may have met? The Lady Abbigal for one, and Sir Enoch for another. Lord Claude I am please you have arrived." Bowie cupped Claude's ear as he continued quietly, "There is a certain young lady from a local noble family of the city whom I think will catch your fancy. No pressure, just saying if you get bored there is some game on the floor." Then he turned to Lord Kiyth, "And Ice King! What a presence! My grocer notified me a crate of wine has arrived on your behalf. You didn't have to make the effort, my estate provides all."

Roleplay from Kiyth Ilyrians

The Ice King turned to look at Claude as he had walked up at the same time as he. "Well met Overseer Claude, it is an honor to finally meet you in person. I trust you didn't have trouble on the way I believe I was behind you for most of the ride so most likely not."

Kiyth looked down and realized everyone had wine except for himself

"Waiter! Come here!" The waiter came and he proceeded to grab a goblet, take a sip, and then say as he saw the Demon Bowie approach

"Bowie Ironsides the bane of my scribe's existence! Come here old chap" with finishing that he laughed, his deep bass voice making his laugh boom throughout the hall

"I tell you Bowie every time my scribe sees a letter from you, which is quite often I must admit, he sighs and goes and gets a drink of my strongest liquor!"

Turning his attention to Lady Abbigal as she was replying to him, he smiled as he noticed that she neither flinched nor shied away from him but rather met his gaze comfortably

"No I do not expect for me to have to use my armor at all, but rest assured you would be in capable hands. It is just my daughter wouldn't have me go in my riding clothes and I am not one for fancy dress so I went with armor for it is what I feel most comfortable in."

Upon listening to Lady Abbigal greet Overseer Claude he burst out laughing once again filling the hall with his booming laugh

"I apologize I find great amusement in word play and asking if Claude's work was taxing was brilliant."

Turning again as Bowie arrived at their party he reached out and shook his hand, his icy grasp draining the heat from Bowie's palm, he replied "You don't look too bad yourself Bowie. Ah yes I wouldn't have the guests here leave without their tasting some of Flow's oldest wines, they say that this wine was Grandmaster Deverka's favorite, and that he had barrels of it shipped to his courts just to ease the pain of listening to peasants complain all day."

Roleplay from Abbigal Pike

Abbigal could enjoyed hearing Kiyth's laughter. She did haft to admit that it seemed a bit odd that a man so large and so much effected by war could still laugh like that. It was the kind of laugh that warmed you heart and one could barley help but laugh along with him. After hearing Kiyth's answer as to why he wore armor Abbigal could almost imagine a little girl convincing a large man such as Kiyth what he should wear to a party.

"I think I would like to meet your daughter Kiyth if she can convince you not to wear your ridding cloths I am sure I can find a good job for her. She could help keep my estate staff in line or if she is not afraid of my huntsmen maybe she could convince them to mend their ways. I have often noticed it sometimes takes a good woman to keep things in order."

The last bit was said with a good smile.

Roleplay from Kiyth Ilyrians

Kiyth smiled as his infectious laugh spread throughout the halls on the faces of his fellow nobles.

"Ah Lady Abbigal, my daughter is indeed one of a kind, but I do believe that I am just too in love with her that I want to make her happy. However, I shall ask her if she wants to help you out around your estate. To have my daughter be a maiden and caretaker for the Lady Imperatrice would be grand. It is about time she learn to be a lady.

Turning to Enoch "Ah Sir Enoch, well met, it is nice to finally put a face to all of those letters I have received from you. Well I hope you can stand a bit of a chill for I have yet to find a way for that to go away, nor would I necessarily want it to go away."

Kiyth then stepped back for a moment and brings one of the servants close to him whispering in his ear

"Send word to my steward to bring in the gifts for the counsel members, I believe that all who will arrive has arrived."

Kiyth then stepped back into the circle of nobles

"You must excuse me for a moment I have matters to attend to."

Roleplay from Enoch Dishman

Enoch gave a deep bow to Lord Claude.

Enoch gave Kiyth an equal bow. "I am Enoch, fairly new to Dwilight. I've been here since the start of winter, but haven't had much chance to meet all the great names of the land. I chill at the memory of my treks around the divides, but perhaps that is just being in the presence of a man with such cool character. Your reputation precedes you Ice King. "

Enoch looked over the increasingly growing crowd. He turned to Bowie. "The party seems to be filling nicely. Perhaps we should begin some music and dance while we await the entrance of latecomers. We may even be able to make enough noise to lure the sour folk of the stronghold to the party."

Enoch wondered if Sevastian and those he had brought to him would show. He doubted it, but any man in desire of political importance had to make his rounds among those he hoped to sway. It would certainly make the night more interesting, perhaps more than the potential for a charred dwarf.

"I fear if we stand around and give any more handsome men a chance to come by and give our beautiful Lady Imperatrice more compliments, she'll melt our dear friend Lord Kiyth with her blush."

Atop the outer walls of Skyreach Hold in Balance's Retreat, Duke Guile paces, muttering all the while. The pre-dawn Spring air is brisk, and a harsh wind makes his black cloak flare as he strides along, his retinue and personal guard in his wake.

"Damnable fools, off prancing about like ninnies when there is work to be done... Trust the flatlanders, they said! It'll be fun, they said! Bah! At least they leave the real men to work in peace," he comments as his Captain approaches.

"Your Grace, the bodies of executed prisoners are starting to get too numerous for our current storage. Permission to bury the remains?" the middle-aged Special Forces soldier asks cautiously.

"Burn them, they are not fit to rest in these Mountains. Not even a stable hand of House Ironsides will find solace in these stones."
